    Looks like the US still bans anyone who tries to surpass them. I thought it would all be different after Biden took office. Very disappointing

      As someone that lives in the US, I can only say that if there is proof that these companies have these direct ties, I back away and can't say much.

      If this is speculation, then I'm not with Biden on this one. This could evolve into something...big and I'm not looking forward to it.

        Cheers for that US. Just a country that's scared that China will become more powerful than them

            Well great the US banned Americans from buying quality products, they are stuck with Apple, Samsung, Motorola & BLU... If the latter 2 was not on this ban list? :P

              Sounds more like another desperate move on part of the US.

                Rather will have Google Android than IOS and ratrher will support Harmony OS by Huawei than Android or Apple.
                If anything else Harmony and Android are device friendly compatible with everything apart the IOS.
                IOS is barely compatible with its sell and apple devices but anything else. Thats maybe a 5 or 10% population rest use much better Huawei and much more friendly and compatible devices and Adroid devices.
                Either case apple is a ooser and its their fault. hey know it but they will bnever fix it because forests and animals dying and goes to extinct but human stupidity will last forever.

                  Oh boy, this is the end for Huawei in global markets. :(

                    They are ionly compatible with iown super overpriced prioducts which 90% population will never buy. And the rest are clumsy people who dont know what to do with money.

There are many other ways to backup and save data. I'm not going to be railroaded into supporting an attempted monopoly by the USA. It doesn't even say yet if other smartphone manufacturers are on the entity list.

                              this is the start of destruction.
                              This means the best choice to buy a smartphone is just from Samsung and iphone, if we depend so much on Google.
                              Half of the population out there are not tech geeks like everybody in this gsmarena. So they don't care about flagship, high-quality phones, and expensive phones. They just buy a budget phone and done that's it.
                              We know there is no budget phone from Apple, and poor quality budget phone from Samsung.
