I live in the uS and can say Huawei makes beautiful products. More companies to need to follow what they do because you get good value for the money paid. On spying, this is big business for all the phone carriers, phone manufactures (Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung, Apple, etc) and software (Facebook, Twitter, any bloatware found on your phone that you can't uninstall). YOUR DATA is a traded commodity, used in business deals. They all do it, because you blindly click on the "Agree" button to the terms and agreement(you should read it first). The reason for banning US investment in these Chinese companies is POWER and retaliation. China has been playing badly when investing in US companies and our stock exchange. They buy large amount of stocks in company to again access to its tech and its business partners tech as well...then they take it to China and recreate it. Huawei would not be where it is without copying Apple, Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola. The US has to protect its intellectual property. Where there are profits, there is greed and people don't care where the money is made, so they will invest in Chinese companies that are stealing US tech advances, which hurst the US companies and economy. That's why the ban.

There is no evidence at all that Huawei was spying, but the US got caught spying (NSA, Edward Snowden). So why ban Huawei at all, their phones are good and something that was able to tackle Samsung and IPhone. Hope their HarmonyOS is will work out well more varieties are always good.
