Anonymous, 11 Jun 2021Not every one is looking for camera quality alone.Exactly. Besides majority of phones nowadays, above a certain price, have very good cameras. Is just a matter of preference.
I would take everyday usage and simplicity of using a phone, over camera performance.
And if anybody is such a camera geek, just buy a dedicated camera. Still better than any phone camera on the market.

At night is a clear winner, you don't even have to use those night modes that make your picture look like is cartoon (especially on xiaomi), ultra wide of samsung is not even usable in low light unlike huawei and i love the fact that i got both face id and fingerprint. This is hands down the best price/value phone right now and it took me few hours to install google, now i need if harmony breaks google as still being on android 10 is the biggest letdown for me and i really love the new privacy features of android 12

What's the reason of buying a Huawei phone if then, all your apps are GMS related?
Just buy an Android phone, simple. Camera quality is no longer a viable reason to buy a Huawei phone.

Think of Air Canada for Canadian air travel, how many times has the government bailed them out. Most banks in the USA. I can't be certain of same type situations in other parts of the world but Huawei being tied to the CCP is a sure thing.

My point was that software is only as good as the apps you can run on it and in the west (I'm from UK) if they aren't officially supported like on windows phone for example the experience is extremely poor. The OS can be great and yes I really enjoyed using Windows phone OS but the experience of trying to run 3rd party apps that didn't perform like they should ruined the experience. And like it or not Google and iOS are so well established at this point in time and their official suite of apps will be hard for any manufacturer to establish a viable alternative. Unless Huawei has the money to pay developers enough to develop official apps for harmony then it will struggle in markets outside of China.
Google services are such a massive part of most Android users phone experience and though there may be a minority who are prepared to try out a new OS with all the relearning involved 95% of people would rather stick with what they know and trust will work as expected.
Feel free to agree or disagree that is only my opinion on the subject. Peace guys ✌️

And Android cannot run these apps, because they're based on distributed computing architecture. This new ecosystem is a lot more powerful than the single-device code used by Android and iOS, and it's set to replace the existing ecosystem of Android and iOS. These two OS won't survive the future, Harmony OS will.

Wish I had bought a huawei phone before to detach devices from the US system. They are not available in stores anymore.

Anonymous, 10 Jun 2021are you using p40 pro with google services and still works ... moreI am using mate 40 pro and I was using Dualspace and a virtual machine to get around the apps that need GMS when EMUI 11 was installed.
After upgrade to H os, everything works the same.
