So the Oneplus spirit is gone, the brand that came to answer and listening to the community is gone. All that work and now probably the next Oneplus phones will be rebranded OPPO phones with minor changes here and there. Understand why Carl Pei abandoned ship.

They are gradually optimizing development cost but increasing product cost significantly faster and by higher margins on every launch. So the only thing they are really maximizing is their profits...
RIP OnePlus, you've settled for some time now. BKK pushes Realme as thei "budget" and "flagship-killer" brand now, but for how long. OPPO, Vivo and OnePlus are all as or more expensive than Samsung or Huawei now without offering similar or better products or services outside China. They are all about money nowdays and their products are not worth it anymore.

I've been really excited about getting 1+ up until the 7...not so much lately. It seems the greed has taken over. I guess that's why Carl left. He saw the roadmap well before we did and he didn't like it just as I don't.

Well good they announced it now. I was in the process of buying Nord CE. Now will wait for a while and save up for Samsung FE. Never touched anything from Oneplus till date and was vehemently against Oppo, Vivo, Realme etc.... brands. they were more Ads then substance. Now Oneplus will be going that Way tooo

I don't care, the OP7 Pro was my first and last OP phone. My next phone will probably be the iPhone 13, Pixel 6 Pro, or the Galaxy S21 FE.

Just do like I did and rock both a OnePlus and an Oppo phone, get the best of both worlds and enjoy more choice everyday 😁😁
