IMO, MIUI has bugs here and there, yeah, and the experience isn't the same across all devices, but calling it an unbearably and completely broken software is just hyperbole. As I once said before, it is second only to OneUI in terms of experience.
See, I've used other chinese UIs like ColorOS on an Oppo Reno3, and after that, the FuntouchOS on a Vivo V20 SE (both are my ma's). They're very light alright, but they're just too close-to-stock to my tastes. Doing things like screen calibrating, and customization options like AODs, themes, all I can say is "Is that it?", it just feels bare compared to MIUI. And a lot of other niceties like the control center is just the cherries on top.
Still, I must say, if there's hypothetically an option to choose between it and OneUI, I'd choose Samsung's in a heartbeat.

I love MIUI , such a useful features and amazing customization. However, lately it has been full of bug. Flagships can run it well with amazing features fully functional whereas budget ones are even struggling to do basic tasks. Xiaomi really are top notch at hardware, hope they make MIUI better. Good news!

If they are serious about this, they should just jump on xiaomi.eu forums and start interacting.

It might be just my opinion but IDK why most Chinese ROM's UIs tend to looks.... Chinese.
I mean look at MIUI, EMUI/Harmony, ColorOS, Funtouch/OriginOS they looks pretty similar (or at least have the same vibes) compared to Samsung's / Sony's / Nokia's, etc.
Again, no offense to anyone, just my humble opinion.

I don't know why ppl hate MIUI so hard. I actually really liked it. Only thing I dislike about Xiaomi is how they mask OS updates under MIUI versions instead of actual Android version.

Good. Now hire a proper designer to design themes, wipe all of your gigantic collection of iffy themes in the theme store and make your OS look proper. Your theme store are full of people who deserve that "GrAphiC DeSiGn iS mY PaSsiOn" meme.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2021Crap UI copycat iOS. Any MIUI fans want to deny it?? I'... moreSure, you may copy it. But no other Skins of android allow that feature right? Not to mention with MIUI, it is the only skin to be able to change your whole UI looks to one ui, IOS, Stock android, oxygenos, ColorOs, and even originos. You can copy the right thing, there's never any problem with that. People in fact loves the control centre. The amounts of features is also insane. And software support for flagship xiaomi phones are excellent, even my Poco F1 is having Android 11 at January patch right now. Sure, it is sometimes buggy, heavy, and bad looking, but you can adjust it yourself. MIUI is truly "My UI", it allows so many customizations not found on other skins aside from ColorOs or FuntouchOs

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2021Mine is Redmi note 9s and I cannot download premium themes ... moreLol, what do you expect from an midrange phone. Midrange MIUI don't get full features and less software updates. Even my Poco F1 is at 2021 January patches at Android 11. Redmi Note 7 from the same year don't get android 11. Also, ny Poco F1, even with IPS LCD, has more display features, clear speaker mode and even AI engine for display enchantments. That maybe because of the Snapdragon 845 having Ai engine in it. Midranges may not have the power enough to run all the features, therefore it is disabled to keep the skin from being too heavy. Only features my phone didn't have is super wallpapers, and i needed to use apk to get it. Also, MIUI 12 on android 11 with all features turned on and super wallpapers working takes 4 GB out of my 8 GB RAM on my Poco F1 with only the settings app open

MIUI is currently the worst UI in terms of stability.
MIUI on Snapdragon devices runs more unstable than Other brands skins with mediatek or even UniSoc (Spreadtrum) processors because MIUI is carrying too much legacy code, developers are unable to fine tune it for every device.
They should learn from BBK electronics, Oppo specifically, Color OS 3 was good but they didn't carry legacy code into further iterations. Color OS 6 was a clean slate and they only improved on it in Color OS 7 and 11.
MIUI features? Useful once every month just to get rid of boredom.
The features that make a smart phone experience polished and easy for everyday use. MIUI is worst atm.

Poco launcher is a failed project no system animations. Even my realme 6i performed better than my poco f1. This is harsh truth. Xiaomi killed the poco f1 with its unfixed miui.

Crap UI copycat iOS. Any MIUI fans want to deny it?? I'll give you some peace of your own mind if you're dare to deny it. For example, pulled down from top left for notifications and pulled down from top right for control panel 😏

Unb1453d, 17 Jun 2021Meh UI got so many bugs and ads that they need a new team t... moreThat's the negative, yes and they are gonna fix it. But in terms of features and especially the themes store, it is excellent 10/10. You can change MIUI into One Ui looks, OxygenOs, ColorOs, OriginOs, Ios, and even stock android look all with just one app and no need for third party icon packs. The display settings are even full of features. Sure it is buggy, heavy, and the default look isn't great. But all can be fixed through an update. Miui is truly " My UI" it gives users too much options and you won't get bored. Even my Poco F1 is enjoying MIUI 12.0.5
