Since I got my LG V50 with its DualScreen case after I returned my telco-locked Samsung Galaxy Fold, every other phone look boring. Never tired of using that detachable case all day long despite the extra weight.

Flip phones can be practical for many people. But now we can use a smartphone with very powerful hardware great camera good battery life sleek screen and many many good things. IPhones don't count. They are miles behind. Android rules.

Nobody understand your meaning "long live", but in reality fact flip phone is NOT long live, lets face it is dead now !

not yet, Nokia 2720 Flip is bearing the torch

The current oversized display gonna kill the market soon. I would go for a keypad smart phone.

The Nokimen communicator may be good if resurrected with slightly different approach.

I have to give credit to flip phones for getting me into the phone hobby. My first camera phone was actually the Sony Ericsson T616 (more known as 610). I got it January 2004. But the Sanyo SCP-5500 a month later and Motorola V600 like four months later is what really got me into it.

I would go on PhoneScoop. Eventually became GSM Arena more regularly like a few months later. Of course, Nokia N95 and the original Apple iPhone took things to another level in 2007. Nobody really cared about apps until the App Store in 2008 when the iPhone 3G came out.

Flip phones were on the rage

People were ok with mechanical moving parts, there was some ribbon issues here and there but it wasn't all over the place

And in present day people are nervous about pop up cameras and even plastic phones ... This things were on premium devices back then

Well all old phones died in few years after everyone started to make touchscreen phones only. Flip phones can make a come back now when we have over 6 inch screen phones only, as these are making the phones pocket size
