We'll finally see if the new Visiononx UD selfie cam will offer clearer shots.

[deleted post]Ah, yes, with my Poco F2 Pro, and me basically hating on :
Samsung, Apple, Google and OnePlus for their huge anti-consummer behaviors (much more than any other brands) and don't trust but don't hate Huawei and not for their country of origin but for their actions, I do sure hate China.
Dat logic, if anything I'd choose a Chinese over an American phone anyday.

[deleted post]This is exactly what happen when you talk while not knowing what you talk about.
I prefer the pop up as it allows a non-interrupted display AND privacy, but if I had the choice between a phone with a pop up and an identical phone with no front camera, I'd choose the latter.
And if I had the choice between a phone with a pop up and one with a bezel but most (all) of the features I want, I'd choose the latter and simply buy a front camera sliding cover.

You can say I hate underdisplay camera, punch holes and notches, not because they exist or that I don't like them, but because they are the kind of tech that don't leave any room for alternatives in the market.

So in the end, you couldn't be so wrong.

TEtech, 21 Jun 2021But if it doesn't fail and works well, what would be t... more*Cost, it requires a special pixel configuration which is costlier to manufacture.

*Picture Quality, even if it "work well", there is a limit to how much quality you can get by looking through an opaque object.

*Display quality, even if it improve, we try to have super fast and ultra high quality display, a square with less brightness, off colors and that can be visible in multiple light conditions isn't a good thing.

*Privacy, unlike what we often read, it can easily see through the pixels when they are lit, of course it isn't the best for a picture, but privacy violation don't care about photographic quality and often use potato quality means, combined with the fact that the camera is hidden, and the user easily forget it, it tricks into a false sense of security which is worse than no security at all.

*Market invasive, if it works well, alternatives, regardless what they are, will be drowned, exactly like punch holes and teardrop notches made even the totally normal, fine and loved bezel disappear on middle and top end devices except for few rare phones, and the Smartphone market already seriously lack diversity.

I really hope this tech will fail enough, so it loses its hype and momentum and don't become something most phones have but rather an occasional feature, not hard to find, but not invading the market as the punch hole and teardrop notch did.
It has too many cons to be the only option available, and maybe people will realize that pop up weren't that bad after all, and that the front camera is maybe not worth all this headache, and we simply should also make phones without it.

Looking at the photo. The pixel arrangement really has been improved. I cannot see the camera at all.

Well done to all those who invested in the first generation UD camera phones. Totally original. Thanks to those who bought the Axon 20. That helped to pave the way for the next gen of UD camera tech.

No doubt the americans will try to find a way to cause issues for Chinese tech conglomerates.
