It is most likely act like a real camera, with detachable lens in every focal length. It'll add more bump, with the separate lens to bring everywhere u go.

Until a built-in rotary changing lens tech using a 1 big sensor emerge, the way u said, its practically will not become a smartphone anymore.

Huawei use 6P lens element since Mate 10. Since Mate 30, I believe they start to use 7P lens on its main camera. Do you know Mate 40 Pro+ uses 9P lens on its UWA?

Enjoying the better screen, waterproofing and that big sensor magic at under €650.

I doubt any other phone is better at this price. Doesn't break the bank like some of these 1000 Euros and above phones, without making compromises.

You can do that also for any of the other Chinese flagships. The mi11 ultra is actually more expensive this year than the other flagships like the find x3 Pro and Oneplus 9 pro. It does have a better camera setup but you also pay more for it

The flagship offerings are no slouch.
If one is from Europe, people can get great deal complete with warranty, EU ROM out of the box (takes 7-12 days extra), charger, etc. at low prices if one chooses to import.

                    Mi 11 Pro = around 650€

                    Mi 11 Ultra = around 850€

For me the most impressive thing is the shutter speed on their flagship phones. I used an honor v30pro which had really fast shutter speed compared to all other phones I've used. Looking at the shutter speed for their mate 40 and p40 series on the file info of the samples here on gsmarena it also seems much faster than other phones. Really helps reduce the number of blurry pics when there is any motion

Many people want multi-cam setup, including me. There's little point of getting rid of auxiliary cameras just for the sake of putting a slightly larger sensor that would sit behind a very wide angle lens and need to be cropped for regular day-to-day shooting anyway.

"Let's see the p900 sensor in a phone"
You mean Coolpix P900? That one has a tiny 1/2.3 inch sensor, btw.

Nick Tegrataker, 22 Jun 2021"it would've been a million times more impressive... morethe photo quality would still be rather impressive, if only huawei actually did make a rggb version of their sensors.

however, since there are quite a lot of limitations of gcam, then it still would be quite niche to use it.

gcam's processing is better than huawei's.

it would be rather impressive, unlike those you said.
