I think it highlights how good their phone's camera are.
Despite being 12Mp, they still compete quite reasonably against much higher (40Mp+) resolution sensors, and they avoid sub 12Mp sensors, which is great!

This kind of new article allow seeing in the comment how hypocritical people truly are.
I get called a hater because I literally say that I have enough of all phones being the sames and having no available ones with features I like, because pointing out that some things are overused is being a hater.
But the same people coming and spitting on Sony, they think they are legitimate.
If you don't like the phone, don't buy it, unlike me, you still have the whole market to choose from to match your tastes.

It has some stuff you cannot do with 1ii. Some screen features.
It has 4 antennas for 5G, the 5G signal is 360 degrees. Softwate shows you where the signal is coming from (right, left, ahead or behind).
The HDMI with input, not just output.
Best part: copper pipes, graphite sheet and largest vapor chamber of all phones.
"Nobody is gonna buy!! ".
LOL, I wonder why it sometimes is out of stock on Amazon USA.

You do not change the cpu in the middle of the development.
Funny that haters do not complain about phones that use 865++ disguised as 870.
Zero benefit, higher power use.

Sony is the king of half-assed when it comes to mobile. The Pro is meant to stream live over mmWave but mmWave is almost nonexistent. It's meant to live stream from a Sony camera's HDMI output but this phone will be obsolete before most people have a Sony camera with professional video support. Sony's remote interface software "Imaging Edge Mobile" is horrible even if it can be observed momentarily working between crashes and disconnects.
It looks like the Xperia 1 III will be a more practical version of this phone. The specs and price are both better. On the other hand, Sony's web page for their new phone is still a hot mess of major mistakes and errors.

gringo, 27 Jun 2021Seriously gsmarena, who's gonna buy this for over 2000$ ???Dear haters, do not feel angry because your brand does not have tech to make such device.
The purpose of this is the live streaming. Do you know the structure necessary do live stream? This is to make things easier and cheaper. (Yes, I was not expecting $2500, but $1800).
If you do not do this kind of job, it is pointless to buy over 1ii. Also, the main target are tv channels and media agencies. Last year Sony signed deal to sell cameras, lenses and videocameras to an important agency.

Anonymous, 27 Jun 2021Professionals wont buy this as it doesn't work properl... moreJust read the said review as well as MrMobile's video on Xperia Pro.. yeah I guess I'll take back what I stated earlier. 5G connectivity issues seem to be real, especially in US.
Hopefully they have got it fixed by now, though my hope is pretty thin on this especially when considering the fact that Sony had over a year to fix any software/hardware related issues since the announcement.

Why are you reviewing something that nobody will buy? Ive already seen a review on this.. Full of bugs and the premium features dont work properly. No different from a standard Xperia device then except an eye watering price tag. The End.
