          This device really gives creeps.
          Worst problem with lower end or lowest of the low phones is: They cant last even as long as their guarantee is.
          In other words if guarantee is 2 years this going to last maybe 2 months before it starts doing stupid things.

When 4G came to India, people said 3G is enough and it's less expensive. But today in these pandemic times, the 4G service did enormous job in connecting covid patients to the health services, work from home jobs, bill payments, entertainment and enabling many services which would not be possible by the handling capacity of HSPA(3G) technology in a huge population. While feeding people is definitely important, it shouldn't come at the cost of development.

Redmi has a similar starting price. This is still more than a lot of people can pay. This device is aimed at a much lower price point.

                              2G is reliable and reaches where 4G can not.
                              This is true even for Jio network, any one who's Indian here can confer with me.

                              Jio has a huge number of towers, mostly on government/public infrastructure (roads, dividers, public parks, etc.), thanks to their links with the Indian Government.
                              But, each tower has a very limited range and beyond that its somewhat useless.

                              This phone probably wants to bring 5G to the masses if I'm not wrong. But again, a hungry, corona ridden nation doesn't need that. People need food!
                              They don't need to be tracked by Google all the time, every moment of their life.

                                  Jio phones have made 4G very affordable for the Indian masses. I see most of tech illiterate people switching to 4G coz of Jio. Hope this smartphone do the same.
