-auto rotation takes a long time. Rolled out with poor buggy software.
-physical fingerprint scanner is slower compared to competing with devices.
- Awkard tall aspect ratio good for certain things, but user gets overall less screen real estate compared to other displays around similar screen sizes.
- Improved brightness of the display, but still behind other flagships in terms of brightness.
- lack of customization options for AOD.
- sony stock software skin which is devoid of themes and other added features, has been left behind by oxygen OS, miui, one ui, color OS, etc.
- overheating issue as Sony ch€apened out on cooling like Samsung and Apple.
- 30W charging is slower than Samsung 25W charging and heats upto 50°C
- 4k gimmick consumes too much battery.
- same old main camera from last year putting it out of the top 10 phone cameras yet again.
- terrible night mode.
- poor video quality in dark
- poor Ultrawide compared to other flagships.
- lower quality selfie camera.
- poorly designed unsimplified auto and pro mod app where the user is confused.
- availability is an issue in major markets.
- overpriced beyond it's reputation in the current market.
- uncertain future of Sony in smartphone sector steers away most buyers.

I'm not fan of buy new (phone) get old (tws) free. It's also quite sad considering you can get similar lvl of performance from 1year old phone at 1/3 price (vivo phone).

From memory they have for the mark III (source is their website, so take it as it is):
Ulmb equivalent @240Hz for fluid movement (1 black image between each of 120Hz image)
Ton of dedicated display settings to show things in dark area
Streaming/recording integrated software
21/9 screen so you don't have your finger in the middle of the screen where action is
Of course the usual gaming mode to remove notif, brightness adjustment etc
Compatibility with dualshock gamepad
And for me the best:
Possibility to have the phone using power from plug without charging the battery, thus reducing its temperature and wear.
And of course a jack to use headphone without the latency of BT, while powered by plug.
So, not a bad phone at all for gaming, even if not the best out there.
Also that's just virtual money that cost nothing to them so, not a big deal either. Now that we know they will put the WF-1000XM3 and not the last version, I think I'll wait 6 months with my mark I waiting for a drop in price or some unused second hand.

Wait, Call of Duty Mobile CP Points? That's quite a surprise considering that this isn't a gaming-centric smartphone in the first place. If ASUS or Xiaomi or ZTE or Lenovo give that kind of offer, that would make sense since they all have their own gaming smartphone lineup.

4K OLED 120hz Screen, pretty good camera, pretty compact albeit tall size being 21:9, latest SD888 SoC with 12GBRAM 256/512GB Internal Storage, no notch/cutout/punchhole but mini bezels for front camera & DOLBY front firing stereo speakers w/c is reasonable, but most importantly it has 3.5mm jack & SD Slot for expandable storage, with 30w charger in the box.

I did pre-ordered it for my wife (she's using my old Xperia 1). I have Xperia 1 ii and I love it. I know this one is a big upgrade for my wife (she will love it)
