SuuperBaka is the only rational voice right now lol. I still can't believe people are fangirling over phone rumours.

[deleted post]"Source of screens operating at 900 nits causing burn-in? Give the source joker?"

I've already explained how burn-in works, you either ignored it or you lack reading comprehension. Go back and read.

"Sony making fool of gullible loser lyk you."

In what way did Sony make a fool out of me?

"It will always be beneath S21 Ultra and Mi 11 Ultra"

They have certain things that are better, and Sony has certain things that are better. It depends on what you're looking for.

[deleted post]"They choose to cut cost not extend life. By your logic, let's dial brightness below 200 nits to extend life."

They help extend the panel life, you don't understand how the technology works. Also dialling the brightness down below 200 nits does help extend panel life :)

"Sony dim panel can't go beyond 560 in Max auto mode because that's the threshold beyond which it might cause burn-in."

They don't go beyond that to ensure the user doesn't kill off their screen by constantly having the brightness up there. More of a safety precaution.

"Other displays capable of reaching higher nits coz they ain't lower quality panel."

You clearly didn't read what was said before, not even gonna respond to this point.

"3rd class Japanese garbage company cutting cost. Learn Chinese manufacturers Sony schlonsuucker"

Nice refuation, great counter arguments. I got annihilated by you. Good Job.

[deleted post]Notice how you never actually provided anything to counter my arguments, throwing jabs at someone doesn't make you right.

                    Really sad to watch

As long as they try to keep the price a bit lower than 2021 and it has a built-in S pen like a Note, I will get it.
Oh, and NEVER with an exynos! They should know better by now.

Not really disproving what I said, but feel free to say what you want.

                        "Stop this baseless fearmongering."

How is this baseless fearmongering, I'm providing a fact. OLED is going to have burn-in, but that's dependant on the usage and how much you delay it.

"Nobody runs display at 900 nits continuously, even if they did, these panels are stress tested and have to pass certain certification."

Prove that "nobody" runs the display at 900 nits continuously. There are more burn-ins than you think, even today.

lol at you thinking a certification means anything when it comes to organic degradation of OLED. It doesn't matter if they pass a certification, the burn-in will happen, you can only delay.

"Bright panel can go dim but dim panel can't get any brighter."

Thanks for pointing out the obvious

"Tell your Sony company to put brighter panels and stop the cost cutting by shipping dim display"

Stop acting like the panels are almost black and you can't see anything. I can see perfectly fine on these panels. They're choosing to extend panel life.

First to explode? Sources on this or you're lying.

[deleted post]"Go read up on highest quality Oled offerings from Samsung."

                                        Already did.

"The risk of burn-in is extremely minimal."

Not my point, my point is that it still exists and it depends on usage. Samsung's new panels reduce the risk, not prevent it.

"Besides, burn-in happens only when a static image stays there for too long (like if it stays for hours and hours)"

Static red elements are the highest hazard for burn-in, it depends on what you have on your display. White pixels are the most durable pixels.

"This is why hardly anyone gets screen burn in. But you have assumed that if screen is running at higher brightness, it will cause burn in."

How fast the screen burn depends primarily on two factors, power usage and temperature. Having the screen at max brightness uses more power and burns more compared to having a screen with lower brightness. Samsung's new panels help reduce the burn-in, but not prevent it, which is my point.

Also, there are a lot of cases of people getting burn-in, just because you haven't seen anyone complain about it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen as often.

"What will you say if tomorrow Sony gives you 800-900nits? Will you say the same??"

Yes, I would. I use my screen at the lowest settings at home and have it mid brightness outside.
