DesireHD, 29 Oct 2012I wonder how many Desire HD's HTC sold in it's hay day? I w... morehey,don't talk like that! how many updates had other phones like this? not even xperia arc,or other phones.if it's the best software for it,it will remain.if you had symbian,or other platform,maybe you won't even get any update.from when is a trend to wait like a psycho? htc said numerous times,they could port new software,but the compromise sometimes don't worth it!maybe you had a big lag,or less power over the day..i don't like usually programmers,with their s**t softwares,and i look for a very good hardware who will support future updates.htc till now was excelent(and you have option to root,trere are plenty soft.upgrades)and i hope they keep the good quality.but,i guess sometimes they don't want to risk an update which can turn badly company's direction.and i bet you have the Desire even now,working well.google studied a trend in phone ''updates''and some companies are making good money for that

The reason is, premium price. They think that they can dictate the customer, but sadly, they have too many options in the market flooded. Customer is dictating HTC now. If you want survive, wake-up HTC else join NOKIA and BlackBerry Club!!!

I wonder how many Desire HD's HTC sold in it's hay day? I wonder how many Desire HD users are likely to buy a new HTC after being dumped by HTC and will no longer received software updates? Perhaps HTC should ask the question, why hard won customers are deserting them? Winning customers is one thing, keeping them is another. It's difficult to remain loyal after rejection, perhaps it's their lack of retaining customer loyalty is a major contributor to drop in sales rather than increased competition.

Im sure theyll have a better 4th quarter! I mean, they released the upgraded One X on AT&T only! Im sure AT&T will push the OneX+ more than the iPhone5 this holiday season! I cant imagine why htc's profits are always down. hmmmm

I have a an HTC phone and it does crash alot. Also, the battery size doesn't fit the screen size so it starts dying almost out the gate. The phone overall is pretty good but these are the things that keeps me up in the night.

I got a HTC One S and sell it in one week. The Pentile screen is a HUDGE mistake.
Also the lack of MicroSD cards is a mistake as well. Also the SIZE of the One S is big
for a 4.3 Screen , it's as big as the Nexus which is 4.65 inch.
I got a One X , but in compare with my friend's Galaxy S3 is slow.
So i sell it and finally got myself a Galaxy S3. Sure the UI of S3 sucks big time in
comparison with the Sence UI , but it has Micro SD and it's so easy to Root.

DHD really stand out and and the frontline of the superphone during that time. HTC should do more and far better technology than the current smartphones if they would like to another glorious moments. I don't know why my heart is telling me that even HTC One X or even X+ is still not on par with other superphones. HTC should go bolder!

Let's face it, people want the latest Android OS which manufacturers such as HTC fails to provide it in time, or fails to provide it at all.
Now there're many Nexus phones and tablets from many manufacturers, I think HTC profits will be even worse. Come to think of it, I only buy Note from Samsung instead of Nexus was because I want its pressure stylus alone. What's HTC again?

I have been with HTC phones for my models, u guys are doing a fairly good job. However please look into your backup service centre. It is one of the worst I have visited and please be reminded that: U want to be number One then your service department must also be in line to support with IMPROVED after sales service. There is no such logic just want to sell more but with very bad after sales service.

i dont know why :( because the phone it selfs is damn fine. I have the OneX and i am happy with it :) + the body is mutch mutch better than all other phones came out this month :S

well,if they were trying to do smartphones for ''zombies''they had sucsess just like samsung.instead they made phones for smart people,and let's face it,they're just a few in comprassion with yhe majority.i think it is good to listen to people,which in majority have very stupid ideas,and they should keep that ''brilliance'' of their engineers,who knows better what to do for making a great smartphone.they'll have my support from now on,even if they stay in underground.

HTC should more on the global some of the best phones they made are japan or chine only. think of the uk europe and other countries. you might get more sales.

Htc is getting better in india htc sense very nice ui, htc phone's have very good built quality than samsung, then why people still prefer samsung
