Is it visible? Yes. Is it half of what a current flagship offers? Yes.
They actually tried to basically imply that the s21 screen was inferior for its brightness.
Stop trying to defend such ridiculous claims and actually be honest and admit the truth.

So if someone has to prove something it would be him to actually prove what he claimed....which he can't. He can't prove how more visible display in sunlight is worse.

And that person saying that they trust professional websites over a wannabe comment is a justified response.

Nice fail on your end though.

Meanwhile if it was the other way around and it was the 1iii reaching 1000 nits you would be praising their amazing technology to do so and trashing samsung for only being 550 nits

That's like saying thincan speaker is great cause it's super loud. If you put your phone in color accurate mode it will never go above 600 because it's respecting color as well as contract accuracy.

What I actually wonder is have you ever used a mobile phone in last twenty years or so or your first ever mobile phone was from 2020? Claiming that you cannot see nothing outside on anything but 800-900 nits is pure lack of common sense. Either you are spec warrior and have no comprehansion of units and facts that implicate legibility under sunlight or you probably have never used a cellphone before iPhone 11. If you ever had a Glaxy S before S10 I wonder how you could ever live with it cause under the sun you probably staired at the black hole of the screen right? That's excatly what you are saying.

Btw glossiness of glass also impacts the screen legibility under direct light. Manufacturers put glossy screens in order for colors to pop but that also introduces glare so just because some phones have the same amount of lumen under the screen doesn't mean they are both equally legible. So that' one factor that implicates screen's outdoor performance besides lumens. Another one is color accurate calibration sustainability or gamma tracking.
