Everyone is talking about iphone 14 & titanium or aluminum bodies in future. 1st let them make notchless phones & in fingerprint display, also dual apps from ios. now days everyone has multiple social media accounts, ios has still not able to develop dual apps, especially much needed for whatsapp.

When Android had 0.1% marketshare, Apple was at around 12% with Symbian dominating the market. Within 3-4 years, Android jumped to 80% and above, while iOS remained around 15% worldwide marketshare.
Bottom line is that, "Symbian" the previous ecosystem of choice for people got replaced by Android.
IOS never really went beyond 25% marketshare, Android has reached as high as 90%.
Honestly, IOS was never a true contender to begin with, just an irrelevant sideshow at best.
Android still retains the title of ecosystem of choice for people.

The Samsung and Apple phones are build in the same way as many chinese manufacturers including Xiaomi. They are even made in same areas and same factories with the same materials.
To be fair, the consumers across the globe have paid too much for phones manufactured in China but with a Samsung or Apple label.

I got OnePlus 8 pro(12gb/256gb) for Rs.60k. Would have happily paid 100k for that.
I got Mi 11 Ultra(12gb/256gb) for around Rs.74k. Was ready to pay Rs.100k and above for that.

AnonD-731363, 27 Jul 2021Magnesium or Chromium alloys far supperior than Tungsten. Magnesium is a very good base metal but needs protection; it dissolves in acids and scratches easily. Chromium is fine as a coating but not as an actual structural material. Tungsten...let me tell you why you wouldn't use it for a phone, have you got all day?
Stainless is a good frame material, aluminium alloy (7000 series) with suitable coating nearly as good, titanium unnecessary.

Titanium is nowhere near 3 times stronger than stainless steel. Its hardness is less than that of 316, its Young's Modulus is lower than 316. Its yield may be less or more depending on heat treatment. It is lighter for a given section, but in a phone application where heat is not an issue it has no real advantages over ordinary 316 stainless other than perceived image.
Apple has jumped the shark and obviously run out of real ideas.
