SigmaR, 27 Jul 2021No one is even close to 1nm,quit the rubbishDo you live in cave ? TSMC already announced 1nm process breakthrough by using 2D material that has low contact resistance and high current delivery capabilities by combining silicon with bismuth (Bi), a semi-metal element .

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2021That still means they're on 7nm while everyone else is... moreintel not so that far behind, at least with AMD. they're still trade blows in each scenarios, and with intel claiming such a bold promise, it will be a good fight between two. the competition actually is between x86 and ARM. the apple M1 show us how incredibly efficient yet powerful an ARM could be, that's the real threat to Intel and AMD.

rizki1, 27 Jul 2021I can't think anymore, what do you want to do with thi... moreAgree. It's same when people wanted the best phone camera and yet they rarely use it's features and usually those consumers can't even take a decent still image.
They just want it, just because.

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2021That still means they're on 7nm while everyone else is... moreThat's why the article mentioned about catching up. If they are making such a bold statement, either they are sure as hell that they will bring out the big guns or it might be their dying roar which I don't think will happen.
Don't underestimate Intel, they have all the resources to make it happen. They just got too lazy and started behaving like Nokia. Now they are serious.
IMO refining a node requires more expertise than jumping up. There is going to be diminishing return for making nodes smaller and smaller. At that time, refinement will be the way to go before the next big thing.

I can't think anymore, what do you want to do with this monster processor speed? what game do you want to run? PUBG, fortnite, genshin impact on hd graphic very smooth on SD 845. How many gen now to current SD 888? It's like a waste of money just buying it when SD 845 is still enough for you. More over when Exynos comes out with AMD, Intel and Quallcomm together that is very powerful procesor to run any apps now.

20Angstirn is nothing but 2nm processors, which is cunning method of marketing BS.
Intel famously compared i7 8700k to 2nd gen intel 2400g few years ago and said 250% more perfomance BS.

You guys might want to know that not every "x nm" are same. Some are of better qulaity and some are just to get the tag.
Intel's 10nm is denser than other 10nm chipsets and comparable to a 7nm chipset.
So yeah every semiconductor experts out here laughing on Qualcomm should once again laugh at themselves.

What is Qualcomm thinking, lol? Intel is still behind in their process nodes and it's not getting better.

Intel deleted nano meter node because when the world already in 1nm they still struggling in 10nm LMAO and anantech intel bitc* will said Intel fab is more advanced and superior than TSMC and Samsung Fab unfortunately real world performence 7nm 105 watt ryzen 3 kick out Intel 125 watt 14nm ass to the ground .

Who uses TSMC 3nm FinFET and 2nmGAAFET, that chip will be the most powerfully, Intel 4nm and Samsung 3nm would not match TSMC. We will see 2k+ single core and 6-7k multicore on geekbench.
Samsung would still have the best AMD GPU but Qualcomm will most likely beat Exynos with single core due to Nuvia.
