applications are getting heavier and need more data and storage, if you buy something from the 7xx series it will last 2-3 years, a flagship 3-4 years that is what flagship chips are for, not to mention that thanks to the fact that they have come out in the flagship chips with all that "more" power is that their processor works well, since the technology is getting cheaper as it advances, since the A53 that your SD625 has, debuted in SD810

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2021Intel deleted nano meter node because when the world alread... moreYou should understand that it's not just about nanometer. It's also about architecture lol
AMD had the better architecture that's why the manage to compete with Intel.
Also, for those of you who want Intel dead, you should understand that less competition would be bad for us consumer.

SOMAYU, 27 Jul 2021Outside of Gaming phones with active cooling, android phone... moreremember back days when gta san andreas only can run on high end phone for high settings? the game release 2013 (cmiiw) some of android phones are lag to play in high setting like galaxy s4 nexus 5 etc, only iphone 5 or above can play it smoothly. todays demanding game are full of battle royale and rpg if you have at least sd 845 or 855 you can play any game. my sd 625 phone can play gta sa in high setting without lag thats how good improvement from qualcomm

Intel's new naming convention is interesting to say the least 😂

YUKI93, 27 Jul 2021Lol please, lightweight? The amount of cache junk it produc... moresorry but i am talking about day to day performance, not cache or junk. apps developer are aware to make their apps able to run any processor except high end games like genshin, fornite etc.

rizki1, 27 Jul 2021android is lighweight os even my sd 625 still enough to run... moreOutside of Gaming phones with active cooling, android phones don't run Genshin at 60 fps yet. So there's gains to be had in that area. People (at least where I live) have turned to streaming games over this pandemic, and outputting good quality streams directly from phones is still hardware limited. Outside of gaming, things like editing and exporting videos can always benefit from added processing power. Just because none of these use cases apply to you doesn't mean there isn't someone out there who could benefit from more firepower.

rizki1, 27 Jul 2021android is lighweight os even my sd 625 still enough to run... moreLol please, lightweight? The amount of cache junk it produces is off the scale! Don't even make me mention the ever-increasing app data size for every single update. If you really want to talk about the lightweight mobile OS, Windows Phone and Sailfish OS is where you should go, not Android.

Could this also be an opportunity for Intel to create their own ARM chipset?

It means that the will be less company making the same Chip therefore competition in the Chip manufacturing field.

                            Wait so:
                            Samsung x amd
                            Qualcomm x intel
                            Does that mean
                            Nvidia x Mediatek???
                            This will be interesting

                              Wait till Nvidia joins in...

Actually Apple silicon is in a bit of a pickle. Most of there legacy engineers left for Android. Android SoC's are quickly catching up and have overtaken in some areas. With arms all new cores. And amd with exynos. Qualcomm with Intel. This is massive. Expect to see Android SoC's overtaken significantly by these companies. It won't be long before Intel tech is inside your android device...

Looking forward to seeing the next generation gaming devices with all new SoC's. Android of course. Sorry. But I won't go near Apple. Especially with NSO Pegasus... Spyware.

It will result in two things either Qualcomm become the Intel of smartphone industry or we can see some great innovation in semiconductor industry
