But there are other games that don't run well yet on top tier devices ( I own/owned a oneplus8, mi 10T pro, and mi 11). Genshin pushes them near their limits. And again, outside of gaming there are productivity tasks like video editing that will benefit from a more powerful chipset.

Both phones suffer noticeable frame drops in game (30 fps ish). I know because I owned a mi 11, and currently own a mi 10T pro. There's still quite a ways to go before passively cooled phones become comfortable running genshin at 60 fps.

Most consumer grade laptops are 14"-17" in size.

Plenty of great build quality laptops with better hardware already available.
I'll rather buy them over MacBook pro

And that begins I only imagined 16 CPU 32 or 64 which would be the performance at a lower cost of energy in a few words it is dead x86 in games in everything only with 8 cores of age of child puts in trouble, Because I would say that NVIDIA wants to arm because it knows the potential the GHz had them blind i7 etc etc

Windows definitely has more software specifically in the games department. So those things have to be considered for your use case. I'm not fanboying the M1 Air. I'm just saying I like it and I think it's a good value.

You have to remember that Android will always have the app services running in the background even when you closed it. It's the same reason why a deGoogled Android smartphone has a noticeably much better performance than the same Android smartphone with Google Mobile Services installed. Three-to-four-year-old chipsets like Snapdragon 625 as you mentioned might sound still useful, but they will struggle under multiple app usage in prolonged use.
