SuuperBaka, 03 Aug 2021It seem like you just hate on Sony for some reason. Always ... moreI don't hate sony I love sony, just Google use cheap isocell GN1 instead of much better IMX 700 series as always cheaping out in Google fashion.

It seem like you just hate on Sony for some reason. Always some anonymous user that comes in.

    A rumor doesn't mean confirmed.

Confirmed means confirmed by Google and not by some guy on Twitter who makes leaks or assumptions on what is available at that time.

Sad you "act" here as anonymous, would be fun to come back in two months time and laugh at your "confirmed" and completely off rumors.

There is no confirmation on it being GN1, you read one leak and it is confirmed right...

No 8MP sensor on Pixel 6 line, expect for 8MP selfie on standard Pixel 6, telephoto will be 48MP as for lastest leaks from leakster who was completely right about every spec so far that Google announced themselves yesterday.

And not to mention that this old 1/2.55" sensor from past Pixels somehow is still used on iPhones and even 21 Ultra.

And telephone is a 8MP MP camera.

                Both are confirmed on Twitter.

Google doesn't do expensive hardware on their products, their last year Pixel phones had a sensor from Redmi 8A a $100 Phone.

General they use cheap hardware and correct it with software and a huge price tag to boot.

Most reputable leaksters say that it is going to be brand new 50MP Sony IMX sensor, which is new sensor and not used in any phone so far and will be first time used in Pixel 6 line and in upcoming Xperia flagship series.

And my bet is also on Sony IMX for main sensor, but the telephoto/periscope sensor might be 48MP Isocell GM1, GM2 or GM5.

once you're online there is no way to prevent tracking at all, and without data collection 90% of the services you use wouldn't work.

and the good thing with google is at least you can turn off some of that icky tracking stuff if you know what you're doing (but whilst doing so you'll realize just how much they collect 😨)

Design is awesome, but no SD card slot, no 3.5mm jack and a very basic android experience that lacks many features available on other devices.
I really don't care about the quality of camera, I rarely use it. But I use the SD card and the 3.5mm jack every day.
So I'll just go buy a Samsung Note 20 Ultra or a Sony Xperia I III.
Sorry Google, you actually had a chance, but like always, you screwed it up!

The fact that it is being used inside a few midrange phones doesn't make GN1 a bad sensor by any means. I also believe GN2 is Xiaomi exclusive (at least for now).
