Anonymous, 03 Aug 2021Xiaomi hardware is top notch. They only suck at MIUI. Indeed! It's a shame that people don't call Xiaomi out on this more often. Sure, it used MIUI used to suck a lot harder x years ago -- but all I care is that it still sucks today. The only Xiaomi phones I'm willing to use are (1) the defunct Android One phones or (2) phones with official 3rd-party ROM support such as LineageOS. Both of which are bad for Xiaomi's bottom line -- yeah, they do care about profit; MIUI with shady ads and data collection is their cash cow. No wonder they don't want to sell anything other than MIUI.

Excellent news for samsung, since almost every xiaomi/redmi phones are using samsung display & camera sensor. Xiaomi happy = samsung happy.

Well deserved.
I don't use Xiaomi devices. But I know which brand most people would gravitate to if they were looking to get a new device currently. Just look at the Samsung phones, bland af.
Xiaomi and other Chinese phones pop in comparison and have feature parity at unbeatable prices. I wouldn't mind a top 3 of Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi in whatever order.
Hopefully, Xiaomi can polish up their skin and lose their cheapskate branding to get me to own one of their devices. Although I suspect they don't need my business to stay competitive.
