The people who voted NO used to be the ones who complained about the existence of a "built-in" stylus in the Galaxy Note series. Never mind that the S-lineup exists.

Foldables are not a bad idea, but I literary have no reason to pick up a z fold 3 or z flip 3 over a galaxy s21, for instance. Just similar performance with more compromise!

Since I bought a new phone a month ago, the Flip has to wait a few years... but yes, definitely want one...

Foldables are mostly bad idea, they don't really fix anything, but bring new problems.

Love my Flip 5G, will skip Flip 3 and wait for next year's Flip 4 (hopefully with a better camera) before upgrading.

You forgot the choice: "It's too expensive for me yet" or "Price must get lower" etc. I'd bet you push some people to the answer "Foldables are a bad idea" (they are not).

Foldables/flips/clamshells are always a bad idea to me from the age of feature phones. 😥

I'm not really a fan of the Z Fold, but the Z Flip seems very promising to me due to It's size and price. I do believe that the Z Flip series can make foldables mainstream and could've already done so this year if it had a bigger battery or alternatively fast charging to kinda make up for the battery shortcomings. That being said, I'm looking forward to the Flip 4. Hopefully Samsung can give it better cameras - such as the rumored 50mp camera of the S22 - and better battery life or fast charging support, while still being about the same price as this year. There's still a lot of time till the next launch though, so let's see how this year's foldables perform.

Battery life is the turnoff for me. I get they don't want to make it thicker but 15W charging on the Flip and 25W with NO charger on the fold? Heck to the no.

Pre-ordered the Flip 3. Diving into the foldables from my S10. It's roughly around the same price as when a new S device is unpacked so why not.

PorkHotdog, 15 Aug 2021I'll get the Fold4Still think we'll have to make do with compromises on the Z Fold until at least the sixth gen.
First, they have to add flagship cameras.
Then, they have to remove the crease; which is possible at the moment, but will require changing the hinge system they'd spent 8 years perfecting.
Lastly, there are the improvements that'd boost utility; such as adding dust resistance, increasing battery capacity, trying to add an S-Pen slot (even though this wouldn't be profitable for them, selling the S-Pen separately is a draw); increasing the screen size (the width); and slimming it down.
Just as importantly, they'll have to add all these while simultaneously reducing entry price to

Looking at the polls, more people are pre-ordering the Flip3 than Fold3. Pretty obvious it will be the more popular choice considering the $800 price difference. But it's also because Samsung final corrected the cover display, it's compact to carry, and it looks better.
