Google's "custom" Tensor SoC might be just an unreleased Exynos

The chipset will be manufactured by Samsung, but it seems like there's more to that company's participation in the project.

In real world, multiple factors come into play. One of the factors is cooling components used.
Both Snapdragon 888 & Exynos 2100 sporting S21 Ultra lag behind other flagships in cpu performance because of lower tier cooling used

That being said, the architecture of those transistors also do matter sooo yeah I agree with you on that. But I don't agree with what you said Samsung can't produce top tier SoC. Yikes. You kinda sounded like a die-hard hater while I was reading that lol. Just cos Exynos isn't the best mobile processor, doesn't mean it's not top tier buddy. It just means it's not the best. They still make pretty good SoC. 2100 is really close to 888. 888 is better, sure, but that doesn't make 2100 bad by any means.

      So only because samsung can produce 3nm or 2nm doesnt mean it will be good...that just tell the size and density thats all
      I hope Google SoC will be better than M1 and on par with SD888

        We might be going back to Nexus days. This looks to me like a Samsung phone (processor, design, screen even battery that is bigger than in previous pixels), but with Pixel experience and it can turn out to be good decision, considering their phones in the past had a lot of problems. Google still can provide a lot of software tweaks, while keep overall high production quality.

          Samsung has both technologies. I assume 3nm is a bit expensive still.

We may finally see those days come back when Exynose used to beat SD abt 10 years ago. Some manufacturing issue happened few years ago which pushed Samsung one generation behind SD. They seemed to have caught up again! This is good for competition.

Maybe it is due to samsung's manufacturing unit here in India. For me exynos never really bothered me. Till s7 edge, exynos was actually more powerful than the snapdragon counterpart, then Qualcomm advanced in gpu department. I believe samsung will make a comeback with exynos once more in 2022 with rdna. One thing I have also noticed is.. my s10 plus(exynos) getting better with every update. Ten months ago, it couldn't beat one plus 8 pro in camera. S10 plus had this yellow color layer. Now it has removed all these and the color balance is so much better that it trade blows. Even major heating and throttling issues also got lower. I beleive when a manufacturer designs both the herdware and software, they have more leverage over what they can improve with updates.

Samsung loads more transistors to its exynos chips just to be on par with Qualcomm thus transistor density could lead to more heat. Qualcomm is just way ahead from its android based competitors for their chip architecture.
