"For the sake of sanity we'll call it 895, but don't take this to mean we know for sure that's what it will end up being named."
Then showing an image with 898 on it, illogical a bit.

the 888 & 2100 are the only chipsets using the Cortex X1 power core.
The Exynos 1080 doesn't seem to have anything on the net about it overheating.

imo, they should've stopped at the 865 cause there's barely any real life improvement after that and should focus more on the midrange soc instead.

If I were certain phone companies that usually release flagships later in the year, I would wait until the plus version is released. Xiaomi, Oppo, Samsung, OnePlus, and Meizu will be all in on this processor so those others (Sony, Honor, etc) should wait a little more.

So now Samsung runining other Soc as well and it's not limited to Exynos .
Good to see MediaTek reaping the benefits of 6nm TSMC that's faster and cooler than scamsung overheating oven foundries.

Ah, another SoC plagued by the flippin flawed Samsung fab. Samsung's foundry keeps proving its incompetence over and over again with many the repeated heating issues on all the exynos SoCs, the rtx 30 serie GPUs, the Snapdragon 888 and what not

Obviously it's going to run hot using Samsung fab vs TSMC fab. That's the entire problem with the 888 in the first place. For now, I'm sticking with 870 and 865 for superior sustained performance.
