Samsung has screen factories in China, like LG.
Also, people that work for suppliers never keep secrets.

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2021Everything is made in china , even the phone you are using ... moreMostly things are made in China, but not everything. Not every clothe is made in China, not every car is made in China, and not every phone is made in China. China makes many things indeed, and because mostly everything is made in a single country, we have a short of chipsets. China got too much attention, and now we are facing an issue here.

I have seen the Sharp in action, and that phone is screaming for a periscope lens, or at least for a telephoto camera. As for the main camera, we don't necessary need a 200 MP one inch sensor in a smart phone. I remember the rumors about a 144 MP sensor. That could be a better idea(a Quad bayer, or a nona-cell one), but it seems Samsung has dropped the plans to release a 144 MP sensor.

Looks like Fake News. How can a Chinese "source" know about Samsung smartphones specs, since none of them are made in China? They are also still 5 months away (January) from realising them...

Mobilemaster, 16 Aug 2021So, Samsung is using the same 12 MP Ultrawide module as las... moreThe 200MP is 1" .... Too big to fit unless the other cameras are removed.
OEMs are gonna choose do to like Sharp and place 1" behind wider lens like 17-19mm and bet on digital zoom or keep main cameras like 1/1.3" or 1/1.12" and have the other two or three.
1" is too big. About 40% larger than GN2.
Also 1" means pixel area only, it does not count the frames of the sensor.
Larger sensor generates more heat. They cannot be made using low litography like CPU (I do not know how to explain but there is a reason). Sharp R6 is probably the phone that suffers the most with heat among all 888.

If in near future iphone comes without charging port and using only e-sim, be sure next galaxy S will be equal as well.
I do not understand why a company so big like Samsung cares so much about what Apple does.

Vango , 16 Aug 2021Beats me how Samsung thinks they can get away with a 3800ma... moreI'm using S6 Edge. It has very small battery /2600MAH/ but battery life isn't that bad unless you are a gamer or social media addict. If so you can buy a powerbank. No any phone battery is better than a powerbank.

Smaller displays are always welcome. Though a 6.06 S22 would more likely compete with the standard-size iPhone 12 (or then 13), not with the mini

So, Samsung is using the same 12 MP Ultrawide module as last year, and 108 MP sensor again. This doesn't seem like a big upgrade. I am not saying they should use a 200 MP camera sensor, because if that would be a 16 bayer sensor, it would only take 12 MP shots, and using the full resolution, pictures would take so much space that it would not worth it. I am saying they could upgrade their Ultra Wide and Periscope cameras, add more resolution to them. This move could attract more people(many are going for numbers). What could be another idea is, to make the 108 MP camera Quad Bayer, so you can take 27 MP shots(this means more details). And a continuous optical zoom would be epic! If Samsung can be the first using this tech, they will have more success.

Samsung used be great and bundled lot of accessories within box when you buy a flagship. After S10/Note10 they follow crazy trends settled by Chinese brands like gimmick features.
it's obvious that why they losing sales & fans cuz they don't care what's customers want
