Where's the novelty? Same Snapdragon S4, same 2 GB of RAM that LG already launched on Optimus G. The 5" screen? Ha! Why do you need that? 4.7 or 4.8" are already too big, and the price you will pay for this Yuga or Odin will not worth it. The only thing that many 2012 phones don't have is the 1080p, but you won't see the difference between the 720p phones and 1080p phones. But that's how technology evolves...making a thing bigger doesn't necessarily mean that you will make it better.

ps vita as better GPU (SGX543MP4+) than "Yuga" and the screen is 5 inches ,960 x 544 only!!

I like Sony's design but they are always late in releasing their flagship. I was waiting for the Xperia V but until now it has not yet even released (even T or Tx here in Dubai) so now I will jump to L920.
And who would buy now the Xperia T or Tx if maybe after 5 months this Yuga will be available.

rome, 08 Nov 2012There is no applications written to this resolution, so why... morewell thats just not true, the major titles of both 360 and ps3 both run on 720 and 1080. the slightly lesser titles may not run on 1080 very well but they still can. and it will be the same for the phones. the apps will run on 1080 and look fantastic because the phonevwill compentsate, and the sheer anoubnt of phones coming out with a 1080 display will mean that developers willcstart making 1080 games.

Smartphones with Full HD Resolution are the maximum i suggest. More than FullHD never will be usefull and i cant imagine that the manufacturer or display developers will create something about 1920x1080p for smartphones. more doesnt really make sense

There is no applications written to this resolution, so why buy a device that has no applications?
This phone is bad for games, even ps3 and xbox360 running games at 720 and not 1080!!!

All sounds good and well till they release the full spec sheet and then we realise that there's a 2000mAh non removable battery inside. I wouldn't doubt it since that's pretty typical of Sony. How unfortunate.

JhorAVi, 08 Nov 20121080p is overkill for the screen size. Its just uneccessary... moretell that to nVidia and ATI/AMD so they stop improving GPUs to support higher and higher resolutions, multiple monitors etc.
yup, stop R&D because in 2001 a 17" LCD had a tremendous 1280x1024 resolution and it was already an overkill over 1024x768 supported by common 17" CRTs ... yup, stop it already :)
2012 is the "full HD start" and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Handset CPU-GPU have grown fast and strong and are now capable of delivering decent framerates on 1080screens. Moden GPUs (like the new Mali and PowerVR) can deliver decent fps on 10" 300ppi displays so HD is a piece of cake for them and future GPUs.

please note, 08 Nov 201212MP is typically 4000x3000 but its 3920x2940 here why s... morecome on, few pixels oversample wont give any benefit. it is 12 MP with 60x60 pixels less most probably for digital image stabilization.
