This seems more promising than most mediocre sensor pretend upgrades we've gotten for years.

GSMArena should delete the comments below posted by ID: p%S, 3h% and gm%. Obviously the same person is behind all of these and he/she is just posting this kind of crap to screw with other people.

Time to get rid of those proxy anonymous trolls.

It is more common on flagships than midrange, despite lower volume of units sold.

BobMop, 19 Aug 2021The example of Fuji's X-Trans doesn't really work... moreIt is known that Lightroom + X-trans raw files produce artifacts.
The smooth setting of Iridient X Transformer works better, but it's in my opinion still worse than Bayer + low pass filter regarding artifacts and the workflow is extremely cumbersome.
And Fujifilm's own jpgs suffer from X-trans artifacts, too, for example see the word "Nature" from "By a Law of Nature" at dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr18=daylight&attr13_0=fujifilm_xs10&attr13_1=google_pixel3&attr13_2=canon_eosm50_studio&attr13_3=panasonic_dmclx100&attr15_0=jpeg&attr15_1=jpeg&attr15_2=jpeg&attr15_3=jpeg&attr16_0=160&attr16_1=55&attr16_2=100&attr16_3=100&attr126_0=2&attr126_1=2&normalization=full&widget=1&x=-0.08824571546838234&y=0.34266084453738654
Make sure that you copy/paste the entire link (you might need to switch to gsmarena's desktop version in order to see the full link) and make sure there is no space character in the link.
Even the Pixel 3 and Panasonic Lx100 Mark I (also Canon Sl1) outperform the 26 megapixel Fuji X-S10 regarding true resolution in this area.
I wouldn't buy a Fujifilm X-trans camera because one of the main reasons of using a large and expensive camera should be fewer artifacts than smartphone cameras. But that's not necessarily the case with Fujifilm cameras.
