Same here with Redmi Note 10 5G, Xiaomi did update the calling app for 2 days problem solved.
The update has been cancelled after that don't know why
every call mute button pressed by mistake
now my phone updated to version 14 same problem

Hi. I am using Xiaomi note 10 lite since long but after update on miui 13 call sensor stop working and screen not off while using phone and some other button pressed automatically. It's a great issue for me. Further the proximity sensor setting is vanished from mobile phone setting after update. Can anyone help me how can I fix this issue

It's a huge problem guy's and deal breaker for me.. If you use phone to talk a lot then stay away from xiaomi phones with this issue.. I am using mi 11x for couple of months and i am already fed up with this.. sometimes call recording have been started and many times another person was added in my call while i was talking.. It leads to many embarrassing situation.

Have Redmi Note 8 (2021) and Redmi 9T, recently upgraded to MUI v13. And the issue still exist. Got those two phones as a present (personal and from work). Never would buy it again. Owned Samsung, LG, Huawei, never had this issue.

My Redmi Note11 Lite proximity sensor not working. Service center person said, Motherboard should be replaced. For proximity sensor issue, Motherboard replacement 🤔

Have Xiaomi 11 Lite 5g Ne with faulty proximity sensor here in South Australia.
Tried factory reset, calibration, removing factory screen protector, full screen dialers etc.
Visited official Xiaomi store where guy has told me that he only can only install screen protector and I need to come 1 week later to see technician.
Conclusion: Guys, just STOP buying Chinese crap, switch to vendors who value their reputations and respect customers.

Very frustrating and no resolution as yet. It's hindering other good features. Mi customer care is clue less.

After upgrade xiaomi 11T on miui 13, proximity has stop functionality properly.
Same is happende on redmi note 10 , after upgrade on xiaomi 13, proximity has stop functionality properly. what to do next?

Yash, 03 Jul 2022Time to move on with other brands. Feeling cheated Wasted money on my 10T 5G, Xiaomi phone. Thr functioning of proximity sensor is awful. The company engineers have pushed this phone out prematurely without adequately going into its technical functioning.

ahmed, 25 May 2022did any one found the fix while calling the screen is workingNo solution yet. This problem since 2021 has been not fixed and I don't believe that will be. It is pathetic to call and the screen do not switch off. No one can help us. I will change the brand soon.

Redmi Note 11 Pro and discovered the same problem. Also often time the light sensor does not work and the Auto brightness does nothing...Any chance for a fix other than waiting if Xiaomi actually tries to fix it by a software patch ?

Its funny to see so many ppl didnt notice that these phones doesnt comes with a real proximity sensor. This approach and issue isnt only with Mi.Basically any model with virtual proximity sensor sucks.
