I think there are not happy with security of the in display finger print scanner
We all know apple is talking a lot about privacy so they need reliable biometric for their phones btw face ID lot secure than any fingerprint scanner that exist but you have to sacrifice the beauty of the display with an ugly notch.eww..

No fingerprint senzor is that good for any phone manufacturer to use it and is not helping as much as we think.

Suppose you find yourself at wrong place at wrong time and you have nothing to prove your innocence,your life will be over in front of law.
I know a story of a guy who was fallen in love with a girl but this love was one sided.
Later that girl was probably killed by another culprit and police enquiry later turned out on the guy which I mentioned at first.
He was arrested and was even shown on national media.
The only reason he was saved from getting his life destroyed because his case was taken by one news channel and social media and the evidence was he used one ATM at a location which was 300 to 500 km away from site of murder,at the same time,same date.
He was also identified on CCTV.

I couldn't care less if punch hole selfie camera is there or not because I don't make selfies. At all. So it's a literal waste of display estate despite its smaller size.

I still don't get it why no fingerprint scanner it is the easiest way to unlock your phone and an under display fingerprint scanner has been used in Android for years now but I don't even want an under display fingerprint scanner just put a side mounted fingerprint scanner apple has no excuse when a 300 dollar resmi note 10 pro has it

I still have my Mi 9T from 2019 and I can unlock using FPS accurately 95% of the time on first try. Here is a trick I am using on all my phones with in-display FPS (including my current main driver Samsung A52): Register the same finger twice and just gently press my finger instead of pressing down hard on the sensor when unlocking. Works well even on the so-called phones with poor FPS Mi A3 and A50 while I was using those phones.
