Apple fears Samsung so needs to clear 'things' with others not to be completely alienated in the future.
thats one of many reasons i think.

Sounds like Apple can make bigger devices like Sensation XL, One X without any patent problems by Samsung..

HTC doesn't have much patent anyway, if you compare it to Motorola, Nokia and Samsung

About time, just need apple and Samsung to give it a rest now. All those disputes are getting very boring now. Perhaps they can just get on with making stuff instead of bitching at last.

If it was a fair deal, why not reveal it?
Or at least the terms they agreed on, even if the company (probably HTC) that ended up paying for the infringements might not have to pay full price for past products, it would still be nice to know what that company is paying for, and what they used as leverage to get costs down, and so on.

And this way none can sue, if it turns out some of those patents wasnt even valid, when tried in court or reexamined.

Apple can take a hit, as ... moreno 36 billion is actually the ammount of money crapple have stolen. htc can have more money by suing apple like what apple is doing with other companies right? htc is being fooled here, apple actually succeeded here and stops htc telling the world that apple are thieves.

HTC breathing a sigh of relief. Apple can take a hit, as they make 36 billion per year vs HTC's 1 billion in revenue per year. Apple can lose their next 10 court cases, and even if they are fined 1 billion per case, they will be far from broke.
