[deleted post]With iPhone it's hard to screw much up because they don't have 50 versions for one generation. It's just 3 base models and an SE a year. If you buy iPhone 12 it almost doesn't matter which one you have, they have roughly same features and qualities. And that's their literal entire product range. How many series Samsung has? Galaxy A, Galaxy F, Galaxy M, Galaxy S and each has insane amount of models. And Samsung isn't even the worst offender. Don't get me started with Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco thing where they are just spamming stuff on the market.

My first comment refuted just that. You know the reason why antutu is not cross-platform? It's because the score calculation on iPhone and android are different. That ALSO means that decreases and increases in the score are not comparable because the engine calculations are fundamentally different.

X User, 27 Aug 2021As sad as it is for me to agree, once iPhone starts thermal... moreBoth examples you give are thermal throttling nightmares... S21 Ultra and iPhone 12 Pro Max both are not suitable for heavy gaming or long term gaming.
These big companies cheapening out on cooling. S21 Ultra is atleast better thermal performance (Snapdragon) compared to a14.

Complain to dumb app/game dev who has no clue how to obey primary display area and status display area (notch horns) and just throws an app at entire display, causing stuff to be hidden.
You're missing content because app is rendering out of bounds.

Compared to the S21 Ultra, which doesn't throttle that much, can really see the difference. I am speaking from playing game point of view. The games in comparison are: Genshin Impact, CODM, and PUBG. Once iPhone starts throttling, I will basically exit game and let it cool off abit.

I can't post a screenshot here, if not I will show you. I literally had to turn the phone 180 degrees to read the text and then turn back again. I like the notch to be on the Left Hand Side so that my right hand does not block the speaker.
This is due to the game developer not optimising it for the screen on release. In fact, if you remember, alot of iPhones Apps updated themselves to "show correctly" on iPhone X when it released. It is not so much a problem now.
Anyway, I am just stating a fact. Personally, I am using iPhone 12 as an everyday phone, so no point saying I am Android fanboy. I believe both OS have their advantages and shortcomings. Just choose which you happy with and go with it. Its your money, your call.

Antutu not being cross platform has nothing to do with it. A non thermal throttling chipset won't fall down in performance by 40%.
He did not compare a14 Antutu score to Snapdragon 888 score.. He compared their results with their own after repeated tests..
Snapdragon 888 hardly lost 10% on an average. The throttling is less than 1% on gaming phones. While basic iPhone thermal throttles by 40%.
