We've done some calculations of how well different content fits on their screens, e.g. a 4:3 photo, a 16:9 video and so on.

This is why I'm avoid buying any foldable large screen phone until the triple folding display is official or new foldable form factor with unfold wide screen, because of the aspect ratio are way too short that multimedia can't even fit especially large screen.

    AnonD-762416, 21 Sep 2021You don't have to be psychic to know Surface Duo is du... moreman, i have colleagues using ms duo's on daily, business basis. in engineering we need productivity tools, not fancy, good looking, 200mb frontal camera, +120hz refresh and stuff. the complains are related mainly, for the time being, to not sufficiently powerful soc. i don't give a mouse's fa..t on an un-interrupted screen or the size of 21:9 movie when i need (and i have) high resolution schematics on one screen and a meeting or the emailer on the other. so stop confusing your whims and theoretical wishes with other people's practical needs.

The real-world practicality that the LG DualScreen case gives is totally otherworldly, especially when considering that they both have the same smartphone aspect ratio.

I personally wanted to have a go with it few years a go, and would have bought it if it was available where im at, unfortunately, after the G6, LG just stopped caring about the middle east market, the G8X or the V50s werent even available in the local amazon.

                    I was even curious about the surface duo, but thats a whole different story.

                    However, for me, i prefer the crease over the black bars.

Brightness matches the s5, speakers match the s10, battery is years behind, camera is lagging behind, front camera is cheap and outdated, etc.

I'm currently having the V50S (the Korean 5G variant of the G8X) as one of my daily drivers, and just can't imagine how I lived without it before. Yes something is not good, like using magnet USB adaptor instead of pin connector for the dual screen, but the whole detachable DS concept gives me a lot of flexibility. At least I don't have to worry about any crease when watching videos on any of my screens

                              The Fold 3 should have been compared to what has been done on a larger smartphone screen: Mate 20X (7.2 ", 18.7 / 9). Here the Fold 3 in 16/9 is clearly less good!

                                People will say why not get a tab and a phone instead but my daily commute to work has been made a little more comfortable when the Fold 3 enabled me to ditch the tablet which i use a lot for note taking and sketching. I know people will still have things to say about it but for me the 500g makes a lot of difference.
