With software hyper optimized so it runs buttery smooth with pretty much half the RAM of all Android phones and battery consumption also optimized so far that phones last the same as Android phones with much larger batteries? You're trapped in the "bigger numbers are better" fallacy.

Sounds like this issue is a lot bigger than Apple wants to admit. Is this a quality check failure that can affect all of their phones, I wonder?

[deleted post]Why people keep babbling this gibberish how Apple is ripping people off with their prices. What prices? I know it's something GSMArena whiners don't understand at all, but everyone here just looks at hardware specs and declare phone either great value or bad value. It can literally not get a single OS update ever and they'll still parade with it around like it's the champion phone just because it has biggest numbers on paper.

iPhones, pretty much no matter which model you buy with maybe exception of SE which really lags behind with hardware kit, but also costs significantly less, they all have hardware so capable you really can't make a wrong buy. Any iPhone you buy it'll do everything well. Always. But they also have other side which is software and which gets up to 7 or 8 years of security updates through their entire individual device life. For people who know and care about security but either don't want or don't need to swap phone every 2 years, having that is worth the "extra" cost that's not spent on hardware.

But people always look at specs and declare iPhones as ripoff because they entirely ignore that maintaining software for this long also has a cost and it's very likely calculated into the device cost. Which is why all the iPhone disassembly articles where they sum the cost of raw components and declare 80% rest of the difference to the retail price is pure profit for Apple. I'm aware it's not and I knowingly went with iPhone because of this long term software and security support (what features are or aren't in it compare to Android is entirely besides the point here). And I can already see floods of smarta** Anons claiming how Android is so much more secure than iOS because they pull the data entirely out of context and just outright dismiss the fact Android phones just don't get updates even if Google fixes them in Android's source (the AOSP) because actual manufacturers of individual Android phones just don't deliver them to users, so you can't just claim it's secure because Google cares, but no one else after. So, yeah Android is secure, if it's updated. 2/3 of phones in existence are still Pie or Oreo that haven't got a single update since back when they were relevant or they were treated like crap while they were relevant. Hell, even Android 10 which is the latest thing most have is 2 years old now.

But hey, expecting Anons here to actually understand any of this is expecting the impossible. They'll refuse to and rather spend 3 days barking at you with their Android superiority complex instead of learning anything.

[deleted post]No. They missed nothing. And other issues are not the problem at play here. Nor the point of what you two were talking about. Nor do most other issues compare to a number of apple ones.... of course now you will have some ridiculous side track denial rant to attack back about that...

[deleted post]So if someone loses a job he's supposed to get because of this issue, you'll say to him that it's a minor issue because it affects the minority of users? Severity of an issue isn't determined by how many users it affects but how much problem it causes when it occurs.

Issues that affect all users can be minor issues if they don't cause much problem. For example, typos are usually minor issues. On the other hand, if some phones explode, it's a serious issue even if it only happens to some users.

AnonD-1010971, 29 Aug 2021LMFAO… wtf? That’s exactly what they’re doing! You people d... moreYou don't seem to understand simple sentences. Fixing issues isn't a great thing. It's a duty. Companies fix issues all the time, and they don't get praised for doing that.

Be it Apple or any Android OEM, problems like this must always be addressed properly free of charge, especiallu since it's the manufacturer's fault anyway.

People here praise Apple's good response as something to be proud of, like duhh?? For the price you're paying with their products, one should definitely expect good service at the bare minimum! If anything, it's actually very disappointing that a modern day thousand dollar flagship from a well-known company is still having minor issues like this. They have all the trillion dollars for a very high level quality control and yet they don't even bother doing so, as evident here.

With Android OEMs, some of them may not address this issue, but at the very least, they allow their customers and other people to fix them without requiring any reprogramming of parts needed. Also, they are cheaper to begin with, so repairing it entirely might cost even less than a single piece of hardware from the competing iPhone rival. That's why of all smartphone manufacturers today, only Apple always gets involved in lawsuits about anti-consumer actions.

Also, people buy Android phones NOT because they can't afford more expensive iPhones, but there are several reasons:
                                    -cheaper
-allows to do more things that are important or very useful to them
-some just find it much more exciting to use
-often it is their preference for the ease of use of Androids that they are more familiar with than iOS
In general, it has absolutely nothing to do with incapability of purchasing an Apple device. Anyone who can buy a Galaxy S21 Ultra or Z Fold 3 can easily purchase an iPhone 12 Pro Max as well, as they are in the same price range after all. It's no longer about Android being attributed to being poor or in poverty, because it clearly isn't at all.

My Apple Watch series 4 was outside of warranty period and had a battery issue they fixed it free of charge.

I’ve never had issues with my iPhones but there are plenty of instances where iPhones are fixed even beyond the warranty period.

These things happens and how the company respond to these is what’s important.
