I think the reason Xoom isn't getting android 4.2 is because Nvidia Tegra 2 is a dual core processor. BUT it's an extremely horrible one. Samsung's Tab 7.7 with the Exynos Dual Core ran Android 3.2 much much better than Xoom did.

Google archived flash versions and download the latest Android release. All that happened was Google stopped bundling it with the os and removed it from the Play Store. You can still install it manually with no problems.

I completely agree that the Xoom could handle the update to 4.2 but unless they bring back flash support I have no desire to get said update. I just want my flash back so all websites work. I have failed to achieve good results with other apps that are supposed to enable flash videos to run on the 4.1.2 update.

Running 4.1.2 (SlimBean) on my Galaxy S Vibrant (which has basically the same hardware as Nexus S), I have to say that this is the slickest and fastest ROM this device has seen to date, much faster than the official Froyo it got stuck with. If somebody thinks that it's too slow to run JB - well, it's definitely too slow to run anything older than JB then.

seriously there is no reason for moto xoom to not get such an update - all xoom processors and dual cores and 1 gb rams running under the hood , but its acceptable when it comes to nexus s though . but xoom tab not getting the updates means just pure marketing gimmick . motorola should do something about this cuz even most of the phones that comes today are dual cores and those run newer android versions just fine .
