PHANDROID, 14 Nov 2012You know what really make me laugh ? Latest iOS 6 runs on p... moreSo you are laughing because iOS doesn't need as much RAM as Android? Well look at Windows 7 on the PC which runs on just 1gb RAM. Just because Android is a big resource hog doesn't mean that it's more innovative. Typical Android Fanboy, thinking higher specs = Bettter.

Android needs high specs because its OS isnt optimised and they have to support bloat ware

I like iOS better on tablets but only once a jailbreak is released ipad+xbmc=win. All this update talk is strange to me.I do prefer android for a phone os over the alternatives which at the moment seems only to be ios with the small exception of some beta phone os or older linux ports. I would think anyone smart enough to check gsmArena for news would not use any stock stock rom. I would also think that anyone that was smart enough to check gsm arena would be smart enough not to compare ios to android as they are different animals. I think the longest I have used any stock rom on a phone was about 9 hrs and that was only because I had to go to work that day. I prefer MIUI+zeam launcher for the best phone experience since miui can be customized to any ones likings pretty easily. Too bad apple doesn't release their source codes to the public I think there could be some pretty cool ios roms out there if that was the case. I do understand now android is using larger and larger amounts of ram by the day. And it is still hard to find a phone with enough ram. But it is what it is if they would focus on speed and optimization I think we would see better os from google assuming you are on a pure android rom. But android gets raped by phone manufactures and or phone service carriers and google gets blamed for their poor codding. I think android should slow down on how fast they release different os versions and just keep updating one till it is perfect then move on. I like miui on ics but I still think that gingerbread was the best.

A lot of people are angry toward Sony mobile because they said that older versions (2011) won't get JB update.
I think that nexus can't be upgraded make much sense to the reason this brand can't make it.
I hope all phones can be upgraded in better way than that.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2012the iphone 3g stopped getting updates 2 years after it was ... moreThe iPhone 3G actually stopped getting support after 3 years.

Most of the other iDevices also roughly follow this timeline. It is quite a good support record as far as updates go.

You Android fans really belive that iOS is worse than your lovely unoptimised, sluggish Droid OS? This is pathetic... The worse thing is that you are really in to that believe and there is no way for you to think different :( and that is saaad :( i feel sory for you :( and please!!!! don't reply to this comment as it will prove I'm 100% right!! best regards!

Take that you brainwashed uncritical Google fan boys! I fed up of endless posters droning on how much better "Nexus" devices are than other Android phones. THEY AREN'T. Nexus devices are the antithesis to a fair and interoperable Android platform. They are the cause of the update problems with Google only releasing code specific to them, not the solution to update problems. They also have an ugly Google UI -- Google needs to get some UI designers with a sense of style like Sony.
