A phone and MF are not the same, both have different purposes. Also lol at taking the same photo as the Fuji

Lmao get your eyes checked, you don't even understand what MF cameras are for. Imagine thinking a phone camera is superior to a MF, yikes.

I would like to see this camera in action compared with the S21 Ultra(using 4k), or against the Iphone 12 Pro max.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2021youtu.be/XjPDVtCklJE in-short nothing beat dedicated tools... moreThanks for the video. Well, 8k on phones is still not mature yet, I would like to see a 4k smart phone vs 1080p since we are talking about phones here. If I would have a phone which can shoot 8K, I will only use it once to test it, and that's all. By the way, when you are inside a house, the digital camera is a little bit dark to my taste, but the Samsung was too bright, I would like something in the middle. Slow motion videos are better on the digital camera. Overall I like the quality of videos of this camera. It is a good camera, and it is heavy for a purpose. :)

Higher resolution =/= better, in case you haven't managed to figure that out. Try comparing BluRay 1080p to Netflix 4K.

""XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 power zoom lens""

This name will surely confuse first time buyers because 15mm on medium format is like super ultra wide. 45mm is no telephoto either, more like wide without the ultra.
You need at least 35-250mm to cover a casual use range on a medium format.

But again, its for professionals, not for casual rich guys.... right? Err... we're sure about this, yes?

I don't know if some of the commenters on this section is just pure trolling amd flaming or not, because they clearly ignored the fact that this kind of camera serve a very different purpose from you usual smartphone cameras.
Maybe it's the same people that trolls at Hasselblad, Leica, and other high end cameras. Bet they also bashing a very specific camera built for cinematography as well, like RED and ARRI.
For 99% of population? Sure it's true you could go off with just your smartphone's cam. But for industry professionals? Nope, we still have to go with proper cams for some specific occasions. This GFX50S mk. II is very competitive and could push other medium formats to bring down their prices, which is good for some photographers out there.

PS: For me, the camera I need to bring with me is the Sony A7S mk. III as I shot in low or extremely low light situations most of the time.

10-bit 1080p at 4:4:4 actually contains many times more data than 8-bit 4k at 4:2:0, so let's see what color subdiscretisation this Fuji has

also in the vids we can clearly see how for most smartphone camera sufficient for most people

lots people get confused is simply because today smartphone camera quality is good-enough and it keep getting better each release, thus for-most-people there no point to spend few thousand $ for camera-kit.
not when most of time u just shoot pics or make vids just for SNS and with consideration the compact of smartphone that with u all the time.

things will be whole different when u need that aspect of camera. But again to most-people, they dont care much that aspect.
And if we put money into consideration, u get the answer

So yeah really, imho both should already understand each other, and none to argue

zodiacfml, 05 Sep 2021but still takes photos that looks like it came from cheaper... moreYou mean those smartphone cameras that heavily rely on dedicated Night Modes that take EXTREMELY long to capture just to get a shot that looks awfully inferior to the same image of the same scene by a medium format camera at 1/30s shutter speed in just ONE take??

Mobilemaster, 05 Sep 2021Can you show me a video taken with such a camera at 1080p? ... moreI have no such file saved locally on any of my devices, but I'm certain that there are plenty of YouTube videos already for that, but beware of the compressions that the app might've done to the original files.

Also, I do hope that you're not the type of person who will simply zoom in very very closely and then complain that the video is awful because you saw pixelations. Obviously at 1080p, there won't be too much room for cropping in, but the entire video clip itself will otherwise be top-notch, as the sensor size allows for wider dynamic range and lets in more light to each pixels that results to less grain in low light situations.

And while you're at it, you may as well compare that 1080p footage from a medium format camera to the 8K video clips from any modern day flagship smartphone camera.
You don't have to tell me that the medium format gets pixelated more quickly, because we already know that given the difference in resolution. What I want to know is how they compare in terms of dynamic range, depth of field, noise level, bit rate, color reproduction, artifacts, etc.
