Best, 05 Sep 2021Xiaomi phone become trash after update regret buyingWhat phone model you are using? My Mi 9T is now on MIUI 12 Android 11 and it is better in terms of smoothness and additional features than when out of the box with Android 9. Only thing lacking now is battery life but after 2 years of use it is only natural to have battery degradation. It is still my backup phone to my main A52.

Best, 05 Sep 2021Xiaomi phone become trash after update regret buyingEvery Xiaomi phone do not become trash after an update..... Only a very few of them become trash..... But, from last year they have improved very much and now even a Rs. 7,000 xiaomi phone works very well even after update..... Everyone in my family is a xiaomi phone user and no one from my family faced any issue with the phones....... So, now-a-days so many misconceptions are going around that xiaomi's UI is a waste but actually MIUI is one of the best UI's i have ever seen... and MIUI is loaded with lot's of features..... Many people say that there are so many ad's in MIUI... But after MIUI 12 update.. I did not see any ad's.... I only saw very very few ad's but actually that can be turned off.... Atlast MIUI is the best UI.

YUKI93, 05 Sep 2021Xiaomi never put ads on their Mi and Mi T phones (and yes, ... moreNot true, I was getting ads on top of special MIUI features, such as MIUI additional app checkup - each time you install an app you get (together with the "security" ckeck) an add. I'm usin the Mi11 lite 5g in europe. It took me 3 weeks to disable all the special MIUI features that show adds at the end. Mi11 Lite is a great phone, but MIUI is adware.

AirY, 04 Sep 2021M using redmi k20 pro with official miui from last 1 year..... moreXiaomi never put ads on their Mi and Mi T phones (and yes, China Redmi K20 Pro and Global Mi 9T Pro are the same phones). Even the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro doesn't have baked-in ads. You only see ads on Global Redmi and Poco phones.

Having used a Xiaomi device the sketchiest thing is MIUI itself and Xiaomi's system apps with them permanently tracking and uploading data to Xiaomi. But the same is true for every phone brand in a way, not even Apple is safe because since they announced they will scan your iPhone and report to authorities the trust is damaged at least.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2021It's not locked, it's for the less technically ch... moreYeah, I know how that works. Seen it countless times. When people are so desperate at loading that APK they got from god knows where, they'll go out of their way to turn off any protection mechanisms. And since there is an option, they'll of course do it. iOS just doesn't allow it whether you like it or not and that's just better for clueless people who don't actually know what they are doing, yet they use a phone with OS that allows all the possibilities. But muh closed down locked down prison iOS lol. You people are funny when you're loud about security and arguing with someone who's been in this field for 20 years. iOS's approach may be limiting for power users, but it clearly works if Android companies are trying to copy it because it's so effective.

Ariur, 04 Sep 2021Does this "Pure Mode" prevents malicious spam ads... moreWhy need that though when now with some simple setup we can already disable all the ads? Yeah, I am speaking as user of both Xiaomi and Samsung phones here. Both OS have ads and both can be disabled with setup. Actually, my Mi 9T didn't need any special setup when set to my region Malaysia but for other regions there are still ways to disable the ads. Meanwhile, my current main phone A52 was getting ads when I agreed to everything during initial setup, so I had to redo everything to avoid ads.

YUKI93, 04 Sep 2021Samsung is going to remove it permanently though in the nex... moreI will agree only when that really happens. Samsung also denied existence of ads in their phones last year despite plenty of evidence showing otherwise, so yeah their words are best taken with caution. I am using A52 as main phone now and I hope the ads that I disabled with careful setup don't return after any OS update like some users showed when they updated from Android 10 to 11.

Isn't MIUI itself malicious? Spyware adware garbage. Hahaha. What a joke. Like politicians saying they'll protect us from other politicians.
