As someone in this thread suggested, you'll change your tune once you get it on your favorite ecosystem.
I know this coz that is how iOS users changed their tune when they got IP rating, bigger screens, multiple cameras, various software features copied from Android. Uptil then, they were all considered gimmicks or put in the "not important", "don't need" category by people like you.

It's chump change for them.

Besides, people owned the Z Fold 2 for months and had zero issues.

Any issues that may arise on the internal screen can easily be fixed (in case of damage) in Samsung's program which charges you 49.9$ a month. They'll cover all accidental damage.

We really don't care about flashy status symbols, outside of our subtle watches and plain looking shoes.

nate0, 09 Sep 2021Plastic is the worst thing humanity invented on this planet.I despise plastic, especially when it comes to food handling / packaging although a washing basin made from plastic is a real life saver say if you need a container that can get dirty to clear old engine oil or hand wash your clothes for example.

Plastic tables and outdoor equipment such as the likes from the Lifetime brand are really sturdy too for example.

Moral is that there's a lot of trash out there but not everything is bad

This is why these iPhone users can't figure out how someone buying the foldable has tons of cash laying around, that the phone getting damaged isn't a huge issue for them, they aren't really worried about it.
It's a classic case of sour grapes fit these iPhone users, hating on what they can't have.

Ceramic is a what feels premium.

Razor sharp edges with width that is more than most other flagships, combined with the phone being heavy, the iPhone 12 Pro Max isn't the most comfortable phone to hold in the hand.
It's far from a premium experience.

This phone ain't meant for the poor. Get that to in your head.
It's a luxury product (only available on android)

Plastic is the worst thing humanity invented on this planet.

Because phones never slip from your hand and you catch it mid air, which can be on display and with fingernail. Coz million things totally don't happen. But now you question me, yet when I say plastic backs on phones are crap because they get worn from pockets and tables, you all start screeching about phone drops on the ground. Make up your damn minds already, my god.

This is not the phone for poor people, it's a luxury that only rich people can afford.
It's like a high end sportsbike that you will have to spend a lot just in maintenance

Which is basically what happens when it drops. Or hits on something. Or just by pressing fingernail on it harder. The surface is plastic, the internals are very much fragile. Maybe you should learn how flexible displays are even made before you start "educating" others. Also what has that long paragraph about plastic BACKS explaining how clumsy you are, to do with any of it? We're talking displays here, not phone backs...

AnonD-1003038, 08 Sep 2021Wtf does your whole comment even mean? You're jumping ... moreWhat I mena is iboy. The mechanism Foldable display of for example mate x2 it has the wedge design. Now it doesn't have a crease right? And it's a plastic display. And that type of design is great so no mroe crease. But that's cuz it doesn't use glass. The utg Sammy used on the z fold 3 and z fold 2 is cuz of the gap in the 2 display(although on the z fold 3 they covered the area from which the water and dust can get in to the components or basically ip rating) and that is how they got glass. Plus glass is more expensive to repair and also glass is more fragile. While literally a plastic display will never crack
I had a Sammy galaxy alpha with a plastic back and it fell like 100 time out of the 6 years it lasted and my new phone glass break literally shattered when I dropped it like 2 feet high and it fell on to mud with the case too. So yea. That's the point I'm saying glass is inferior to plastic(i mean sure glass is suporier in soem points but yea I guess it's not that suporier as u mentioned and plastic isn't that bad as u mentioned

From the picture i woul not call that "fold"..."bent", at the most.
