LG pulled out too fast. Imagine a G Flex 3 with that tech

If we ALREADY use smartphones with exposed screens

Phone made FULLY of glass bodies

With companies heavily investing in stronger glass (Corning)

How is the argument absurd that outward folding phones are more viable than ever before??

If you leave Z Fold on the table, outer screen is in contact with surface, but you can apply screen protector on it.
If you use Mate X folded, part of the screen will be touching any surface.

Honestly, this is another proof that LG literally didnt know what it was doing with their mobile divisions.

I'll keep rooting for them and hope for their comeback in the future. Perhaps they are just taking a break for now.

On theory, "any panel could withstand 200,000 folds".

Real life: breaks in one month.

I dont understand why compare something like that with glass ? Hard as glass. I would like it to be hard as metal and flexible as metal. Glass breaks then full screen is spider web. If it be hard as metal then it would only have one crack and that be it, if the worse happens. And well the screen protective glass will break anyways so whats the point of the screen be that strong?

Now that's actually interesting technology, not those 1000W chargers... Every time some company increases the charging speed by 10W they sell it as a total revolution, even though most people stopped caring at 50W

Well this immediately kills peoples argument that said outwards foldables aren't practical

And this would make foldables mainstream

I wonder if this is for the upcoming new wave of rollable screen smartphones.

Despite selling more than 30 million devices yearly.

                              That's a great technology

That's great if that is true and works fine without problems.

It‘s PET. I fail to see how this is different from Samsung’s ultra-thin glass which is still plastic. I will not buy a phone with a plastic screen period
