Why don't you talk about how the amount of Android users considering switching to
iPhone 13 have dropped from 33% last year to only 18.3% considering the switch this year for their next upgrade. Are you afraid that those facts will destroy your entire argument??

-Trix-, 07 Sep 2021Clearly they are ahead in things which matter, just saying.Enlighten us. In which things is apple ahead? Camera? No Design? No Screen? No form factor? No. A faster processor, yes? There isn't a single thing that a top of the line android phone can't do with a slightly slower chipset. So... while I'm not saying iPhones are bad, to believe they are ahead of something is plain delusional. The whole launch will be just as bored as it is this article itself. There's nothing new to be excited about, it will be an iPhone 12 with a smaller notch and 120hz RR screen; Which is a thing in Android since 3 years ago if I'm not mistaken.

I'm using both iPhone and Android. And I prefer android for two reasons:

        1) less locked. I can sideload APK easily when some political reason bans me from installing an app from my location. And I can transfer any file to and from my phone, like a usb stick. Music, movies, pictures, zip files, work documents. iPhone allows only freely to copy camera roll out of the phone, not allowing anything inbound in this easy way.

        2) you get to select any price class for different needs. From Poco phone to Samsung Ultra. Not everyone needs a phone above $200...huge choice of models. So you can save money or enjoy features like 65w fast charging, 5000mAh battery, 10x optical zoom and 120hz display.

Apple seems to be best for those that don't care about technical features, for those who enjoy being told what to do, and for those who want to flash that logo, thinking they are part of some elite club when in reality, an iPhone can be purchased for low price of 400$.

[deleted post]” Symbian is no more, how can it be more advanced than Android??”

Exactly, you are propably too young because you clearly did not got my point at all. It’s gone because something been more advanced didn’t mean anything ;) More advanced matters like for 0.1% users.

It’s same when people buy Windows PC very very few use it’s advanced features ever and there’s nothing wrong with that. Most people just want simple things work very well and enjoyable to use. That’s why iPhone is so popular, they made using ”computer” fun for masses. Unlike Symbian back then which was designed by engineers and was very far from fun to use and people never found out how advanced it was.

[deleted post]” Only to realize that iOS will never be as advanced as Android. ”

If that would be somekind of meter how good something is, Symbian and Nokia would be number one, just saying.

Actually average is now 3-4 years, closer to 4 years, for majority of people phones are so good already that they don’t need to buy newer model because they won’t need those new things and there’s no need to spend money of them.

This graphs show what is most important reason for Android user to switch to iPhone 13, see which got 51.4% of votes ;) https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/hhKxMl3Hnf9PvFVGYDt69Eibt7pv3OUsyFm1SZdbNptx0XHu2qYZ9_OISMU4vJzvUYToah70jhsCcZhvqkUfVYbzVfBANVeWFrMhe1Oiun153gz0PFA8bJ7T1ddrMnwBdobkRnw=s0 spoiler, it was longer software support

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2021The Z Fold 3 user experience is damn near perfect. Despite the aforementioned crease running right down the middle of the screen, the same screen that will scratch under the slightest pressure……

it’s usable under specific conditions, but far from perfect.

Some random survey among teenagers qualifies as source?

Long softwares support? Most people (even iPhone users according to thair latest data) upgrade around 2-3 years. Try harder next time, 86% shipments from 2020 were all Android.
1300 million happy Android customers from year 2020 are simultaneously laughing at you right now

[deleted post]” When asked why they'd consider a swap form Android to the iPhone 12, 55.9% of 680 respondents said it was the longer software support that iPhones offer that would fuel their decision to defect from the Android Army to Team Apple. The fragmentation in the Android smartphone arena and the lack of uniform user interfaces and software version means software support for Android devices is arguably a bit of a mess. ”

                        Can’t blame them!

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2021Which Android phone did you buy? Mi 11 Ultra Marble white edition.
It feels like a device that lives upto the ultra/premium/pro tag that manufacturers use to name their devices.

[deleted post]” If Android users were switching to iPhone, their marketshare would go beyond 25%.”

Not true because market is overall growing faster because most Android phone sales are happening $200 price range. How you think iPhone userbase can be close to billion now? Where you think those users been coming in recent years? Is there any other choice than Android? It’s not like kids get iPhones for their first phones.

” they don't want to downgrade to handicapped buggy mess called iOS ”

IPhone 12 series saw record amount of Android switchers, with iPhone 13 there will be even more.

[deleted post]I bought my first Android phone few months back, exclusively used iPhones for more than a decade and looking back, I wonder why didn't I switch earlier.
Android is so easy to use and feature rich. It will provide you with things that you never thought you needed.

[deleted post]And how that helped LG?, Sony? HTC? Nokia? :D

[deleted post]Clearly he’s not happy with what it has if he thinks switching. People mostly only switch when they feel something doesn’t work, that’s why iPhone users are most loyal because they are so happy with their devices and don’t see reason to switch, unlike many Android users who are switching to iPhone all the time.
