Now that most android phones have high refresh rate panels, the cost of these panels has gone down.
Apple implementing high refresh rate panel 2-3 years back would have meant they had to pay high costs for the same.
High manufacturing cost = low profit for the company.

The iPhone 12 was offering me no upgrade over my iPhone 11.
It was like the same phone just repackaged with A14 chip.
The MI 10t pro offered such a significant upgrade over the iPhone 11 in multiple areas.
I can see this phone easily lasting me 5 years, although I would upgrade sooner as smartphone technology is evolving so fast.

It's this exact delusional thinking bcoz of which Apple gets away with outdated hardware on their phones. They know their userbase will justify that ancient 60hz screen.

Absolutely... Android OEMs are the only ones who have innovated in the past 5 years, Apple is busy playing copycat. Android OEMs are in competition with each other. This is why they continue to innovate in an attempt to one up each other.

A14 is underclocked and throttles at demanding tasks while the sd 888 is a battery hog that heats up (at least on the oneplus 9) . The 13 series increasing their battery size (nearly 1000 mah on the 13 pro max!) must mean the a15 is still a guzzler who needs extra energy for the 120 htz screen. This is the second straight year apple and android has disappointed. Looks like i'll be holding on to my less powerful but efficient flagship of old for another year.
