But really would of wanted to see better Ultra-Wide sensor, specially when we are talking about Pixel 6 Pro which will be top end flagship with premium price tag, so obviously great hardware is wanted.

People here wanna play 3h in sequence but complain if device passes 38 celsius.

                There are two choices :

                1) lose performance to decrease heat
                2) keep above 95% let phone get very hot at risk of components get damaged.

Is it worth to keep demanding more power every year just because of games?

I have seen on other site people complain about lag on phone with SD845. WTF?

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2021I'm the pixel code they mentioned hardware as GN1 ... moreTrue.

In some way I was disappointed that it is was only GN1 and not some new custom made Sony sensor which obviously would of been very costly, while GN1 at this point is very cheap since it is already a year and a half old, used since Vivo X50 Pro+ and used even in lower end phone like Tecno Phantom X.

GN1 is great sensor when you compare to outdated tiny IMX363, but it is already not that new also, 4K120FPS capability would of been awesome and newer improved auto focus.

What is also disappointing with Pixel 6 line is that Ultra-Wide won't see a real upgrade, it is going to be this same old tiny IMX363 sensor just for Ultra-Wide. So Main and Ultra-Wide cameras will have quite bit quality difference.

So it is kind of true that Google kind of cheaping out again, with "all new camera" while actual sensors are not new at all.

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2021Pixel might use newly announced GN5 sensor.Probably not, as it is smaller sensor and was not even released before Google finalized their camera PVT for Pixel 6 line.

GN5 is direct answer to Sony IMX766 and OmniVision’s OV50A, and probably will be used as high-end Ultra-Wide sensor in flagships for the most part and maybe used for periscopes like with 48MP Sony IMX586 and IMX589. And will be used in lower end flagships as Main sensor.

It's GN1 and XDA confirmed it.

But IMX789 is definitely custom made and exclusive to OnePlus alone, even Oppo did not use it as it was solely OnePlus and Sony deal. Also IMX689 was used only by OnePlus and Oppo.

There's no air vents too cool it down or nothing, what do you expect puppets, it is gonna throttle. That's why on samsung they give you 4 options off mode too select the cpu
