Sometimes the devices that don't sell well inspires a generation of copycats.
2009: Palm Pre had swipe gestures and wireless charging which is now copied by everyone.
2013: Sony Xperia Z wasn't the first water/dust resistant phone but it was the first to introduce it to flagships which has become standard. HTC One introduced dual front speakers.
2016: LG G5 was the first to have wide-angle and now everyone is copying them.
Motorola Atrix had the fingerprint scanner before iPhone 5S. Nokia had the double tap to wake and always on display before LG G2 and Moto X had them.
Eventually, Apple or Google will copy what Microsoft did with the Surface Duo but do it better. Some devices are just a little too ahead of their time to be accepted by the masses. They'll just wait for Apple to copy it and then claim Apple invented it.

Oh, wow! Slightly better cameras! A 5% increase in performance! A slightly smaller notch when a punch hole already figured eliminating a notch years ago. A 120 Hz display that a Razer Phone has had since 2017
Apple is just scamming people by using old features that had been around for years. They've become Nokia and RIM in the late-2000s. Living off their laurels. No sense of urgency to innovate. Just copy Android features from 4 years ago and call it a day.

The iPhone 13 might be the smallest upgrade since going from 7 to 8. Such a bore. But if people like the same thing over and over, go for it. The operating system is already boring to use and hasn't changed much in 8 years.

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2021What is the reason that you recommend iPhone phones?iPhone are more tightly integrated and simply work for most users. It's the experience that allows Apple to be able to charge a premium.
I like Android, it offers options and tweaks I can't get on an iPhone, and in a weird way it's more fun for me personally, but Apple really "just works" and it doesn't generally have the little issues that plague most Androids. Those who have not used a new Apple device simply don't get this.

Why? Because legacy tech must die to move forward
I bet you dont need optical drive or flash or floppy disk and so on
