Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro arrive with 108MP cameras, 6.67" 120Hz AMOLED displays

15 September 2021
These are not upgrades to the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, instead they are lower cost alternatives - the 11T is €200 cheaper than the Mi 11.

The only reason for this phone's existence is to flood the news cycle so that sites like GSMArena will bury the Apple announcements :)

The 11T is a dud with mediocre cameras and a poor price to value ratio.

Sorry Xiaomi, no Telephoto Lens no Flagship!!!

These are just midranges again...

Worse battery performance than the 10T because of the 888

Downgraded amoled panels too

LCD was better choice

And why should anyone buy any of these when they are both downgrades that aren't really cheaper? Mi 11 is at €650 right now and like you said beats the 11T Pro in every metric.. lol

The 108MP loss the OIS clearly a downgrade from last year 64MP OIS camera. Unless using tripod else the night shot will likely poorer.

Anders, 15 Sep 2021Overpriced, no headphone jack, no micro SD. No buyI guess they are selling a bit much through carrier and therefore customer didn't pay the full price perhaps? I miss the first days of Xiaomi where quality and price were a priority. Not anymore it seems :(

Conclusion on Xiaomi 11T

Camera → downgrade (from Samsung HMX to HM2, no OIS, Ultrawide downgraded)
Screen → upgrade 120Hz Amoled, Dolby Vision, Gorilla Glass Victus
Sound → upgraded dual linear speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, Dolby Atmos
Processor → Snapdragon888 upgraded but not latest 888+

The price for the pro is an absolute steal but then you'll have the usual gsmarena moaners commenting it's too expensive

If Xiaomi had OIS on main or even keeping mi 10T pro's camera system they would get soooo much attention
This year Mi 11T is a much better buy

Phone Reviewer, 15 Sep 2021No OIS on the Pro? Seriously? I certainly understand the frustration, especially because the Mi 10T Pro already had both a better sensor (Samsung HMX "Tetracell") and OIS. Don't get me wrong, the Samsung HM2 is a pretty large sensor that should take good pictures even without OIS (i.e., should capture light fast enough to not be much of an issue with night modes), but a downgrade is still a downgrade. Furthermore, the HM2 is a "Nonacell" sensor, meaning that after pixel binning the HM2 produces a 12MP image, while the HM1 produced a 27MP one.
