Triple X , 15 Sep 2021looking to buy smartphone after several years of being on b... moreI agree with this Norwegian Gangster guy and his suggestion... don't bother spending much.

The Realme GT Master Explorer Edition will be superb in the corporate environment.

1) It's unique looking back should make it stand out.. On the other hand, Every iPhone looks the same.

2) The Snapdragon 870 offers great performance without much thermal throttling unlike the apple chip and will easily handle anything you throw at it.

3) The screen quality is on par, with Realme offering an advantage with 120hz if you consider the iPhone 13. As for the pro model, you'd have to pay even more, where you can easily buy top of the line Android flagship at that price instead.

4) The cameras can be considered on par on both phones.

5) The software experience is top notch.
Realme Ui is just another variation of color OS/oxygen OS offering great smooth performance without sacrificing on customization and features. It's not even a competition here.

6) Battery life is superb for that phone and 65W fast charging will put the iPhone 13 to shame.

Most importantly, it's available for half the price of the iPhone 13/13 pro.

Only con I can think of is Ip rating, but you have to understand that no manufacturers covers water damages.
Also the Realme comes with rubber gasket in sim tray which points to basic ip53 rating that should handle the occasional drops and splashes.

It's the same disaster as last year where it sucks in low light due to it being smaller in size, completely devoid of Auto focus and other goodies present on Ultrawides of other flagships.

Triple X , 15 Sep 2021I am not interested in keeping my phone for 5 years. Geez..... moreYou are right, there is no point in keeping phone for 5 years.
After 5 years, the battery health would be detoriated significantly.
The iPhone 13 would still be stuck at 60hz, age old camera, poor Ultrawide.
The 13 pro would still be stuck with ancient 20W charging.
The software you get 5 years later on iOS is already available on android right now.

None of the iPhones are value for money options this year.
The only choosing criteria available is whether you want small screen or big screen.
