To test your claim of 700MB transfer taking 35 minutes, I just now connected my SGN2 to a desktop computer running Win7 via USB2 port and transferred 2.04GB (11 files) from internal memory of SGN2 to the desktop. It took 2 minutes 54 seconds. To test it further, I copied the 11 files back from desktop HDD to the internal memory into a different folder/directory and it took 2 minutes 52 seconds. I think you are simply misleading and trying to troll here.

The architecture is completely endorsed by ARM, and Samsung is one of the chip makers (with Nvidia and others) supporting it.

Now, someone should manufacture new batteries that can power up this monsters and should last 48 hours of heavy usage. Sometimes no matter how smart your phone is, it seems useless when you can't use your smartphone for longer hours.

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2012zzz... Hey dude! BIG.little architecture is designed by ARM... moreNowhere in his post did he claim that Samsung developed it.
Most of us know that Samsung pretty much just uses tech others develop anyways.
And as he said, the Exynos support sucks! Only good for benchmarking, otherwise useless. How many cores they use mean nothing if the crap as support continues. But hey, at least Samsung know that most phone reveiwers these days only look at bechmarks, so they will continue to have the most recommeded phones, even though in real life power and support they are way behind competitors such as nVidia and Qualcomm.

AnonD-79078, 21 Nov 2012People who are confused, it's not 8 core will work at the s... more@MetalKid: Intel did not release Xeon series as their first processor. It evolved. So are the processors from AMD. Don't be under the impression that only nvidia or Apple can think. If you have ever put in any effort to get a patent then you will know that you would have used the ideas/rational/information in the other patents and you would need to clearly mention it in your patent application. If granted, it is called invention even though it is using info from other patents. For example, 256 core processors are on the way from Intel and also from IBM, which means ideas are already there and patents are already in place. So it does not mean ideas don't exist. They are all there. You just need to know where to look & how to use & differentiate. If you say Samsung is posing, it also means every other company involved in chip development are also posing. Chill out dude. This is how innovation works. Nothing comes out in one shot. Especially technology. Nobody stopped nvidia from making 4+4 but they chose to make it 4+1. Samsung made it 4+4. nvidia may come up with 6+2 or maybe 8+1 or something. Hey that's how things go. If it clicks they make money, if not they try something else.

Quick questions.
1) How do you share a ring tone with your friends having non-Apple phones? (I often need this)
2) How do you copy a file from PC having Linux? (I often need this)
The above list is not complete.... There are so many other thing which were/are/will not be possible with Apple phones.
It is a good phone, where you don't want to connect to external world.

People who are confused, it's not 8 core will work at the same time. Samsung took the concept of Tegra 3 (4+1 cores, 4 cores for heavy use, 1 for power saving), and upgraded it to 4+4 (4 A15 core for heavy use, 4 A7 for power saving). Honestly, nothing innovative here since the basic idea already exists, Sammy just revamped it to a new level to make it sound big. It's a big deal for posers who want to show off benchmark results and stuffs! But unless Samsung co-operate with the open-source development like CM & AOKP, and more developers leaving the Exynos platform, it kind of ruins the openness which Android provides.
