Diamonds?!? and here, I thought Graphene is the BEST when in comes to thermal conductivity??? can someone enlighten???

In a Der8auer (prolific overclocker and stakeholder in Thermal Grizzly) interview with Gamersnexus, he discussed how better performing pastes tend have have properties (e.g. lower viscosity) that render them more susceptible to pump out. Indeed if you look on Thermal Grizzly's own website, Hydronaut's product page makes no mention of any specific resistance to pump out, and you can find images of pump out if you Google "hydronaut pump out"

Anonymous, 26 Sep 2021Diamonds? Imagine how much more the phone would cost Mate, you're a fool if you think they're using the Kohinoor or maybe DeBeers showroom stuff. There are millions of really pathetic cut diamonds available for dirt cheap, which when not sold are finally put into electrochemical/mechanical applications, FYI.

The phones overall price is just under 30k then how come diamonds are used. Or do we need to buy it separately? It's all just a gimic

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2021I didn't even know diamond is conductive, lol.If you're talking about electric conductivity diamond is not very conductive it works more like a semiconductive material. But if you're talking about thermal conductivity diamond is highly thermally conductive. This property is used here.

Watch Youtube videos and the Realme GT Master Edition with SD778G still gets pretty warm playing PUBG Mobile at just smooth extreme. That’s a phone with cooling.
Can’t believe people are tricked into marketing hype easily. Even some Asus laptops with lots of cooling gets super hot because the fan and heatsink are misplaced.

The ... moreSadly, this is true, and not just about Chinese...
In this case, I guess the 2000W/(m.K) is the maximum theoretical thanks to diamond and not the actual thermal conductivity.
Though, if they use a good one, it might be still be better than Thermal Grizzly.

Graphene vs diamond vs heat pipe. Heat pipe is cheap and efficient that's why it is used in computers. But due to space limitations other solutions are used in phones.
