Everyone complaining about not getting Windows 11 while Windows 10 will be supported until 2025. No need to rush out to buy new hardware just to run Windows 11. If by 2025 you still run a CPU lower than 7th Gen then that will be a problem. I myself is still running a 3rd Gen i5 .....

AnonD-558092, 22 Sep 2021...which already exists without TPMsYou don't understand. It can make it difficult for cheaters to bypass the hardware ban.

I’m still using an i5 3570k and not planning to upgrade anytime soon. Guess I’m out of luck.

Content providers already have their own DRM schemes that do not rely on TPMs. The lack of TPM will not affect anyone significantly enough to mandate it.

Meh!. Looks like another good reason to stick with Linux. Not that a simple number increase is any good reason to move back to the dark side anyway. Would need a great deal more persuasion than that to even consider it, let alone to actually make the move...

6-9th Gen Intel processors (plus 10th Gen Comet Lake) are identical. This limitation, and the suggestion that these older processors are unable to safely run Win11, are ridiculous. They have the same core architecture, support the same instructions, have near-identical IPC performance... All that changed is the iGPU for the relevant processors and the frequencies (nothing significant though)

My 4th generation i5 should run it also no problems. It's just the support for the hard drives to be secured so the people who do these scams of bloatware in your pc that will then set a password to access your data and ask ransom money for your data.

While it's a simple check in motherboard settings but on older processors it will take too much resource from processor and make your PC slow.

I dont even care for the windows 11. I think they should make it safe in other way as a software form where you dont need to change anything in motherboard settings where it's best to not change anything if you dont know what your doing.
