Hoping they could prove that you dont need to have the best Soc to get top notch samples and have this software trickle down to mid range phones by next year.

Ranking my favorite Google Nexus/Pixel devices I've owned..
1. Pixel 3
2. Pixel
3. Nexus 5
4. Nexus 4
5. Nexus One
Was going to get a panda Pixel 2 XL but decided not to because it's hard to go back to a slab after using a foldable flip phone after 3 to 5 weeks. Trust me on this, it might be annoying early on flipping it open all the time. But after awhile, you get used to it like it's 2004 again. You want to close the phone. The closing part is addicting and a peace of mind that your display won't be exposed to any drops.
The most intriguing Pixel is codenamed Jumbojack and it's not the burger from Jack-In-The-Box. I hope we will eventually get a Pixel Flip after a Pixel Fold. I just don't like the size of either Pixel 6. Too tall. Another surfboard phone sticking out of my shallow pockets.

Razr 5G Fan, 06 Oct 2021Both Nexus and Pixel were always catered to a niche market.... moreThat is the good thing and it was the interesting thing about the nexus in their time, that not everyone uses it is exclusive

Both Nexus and Pixel were always catered to a niche market. People who go on sites like this to comment or watch techtubers all day. That's who these phones are for.
What's the most a Nexus device had ever sold? Like 3M? How about a Pixel? Less than 5M? Apple sells an iPhone model in the tens of millions. At least 40M to 60M for many of their flagships
At least Google won't give up on it. They have the money to support it for years even if they're aware they will never ever catch Samsung and Apple with sales.

Anonymous, 06 Oct 20213a was very popular. maybe, but what I mean is that it doesn't sell, it sells less than the least sold samsung lower end model, saleswise is a disaster, it is only a cult product

AnonD-1016461, 05 Oct 2021Great move Google
I hope pixel 6 pro can be a new bold nam... morePretty sure you will have 2 Cortex-X1s a few days ago there was a leak that your mid cores would be A78, but take it with a grain of salt it is probably A76
2 Cortex-X1
2 Cortex-A76
4 Cortex-A55
Since Google apparently decided to go for the AI side, they also affirmed that their chip would have the AI capacity of a data center, and according to leaks it will be able to apply HDR to videos in real time, there were already Android devices capable of HDR in video from 855, but none could do it in real time
But it is quite surprising and refreshing that in less than 2 weeks we still do not have any confirmation, not like the other "leaks" that take away all the meaning of the presentation.

These two phones are surely going to be some incredible devices, but their hype wouldn't last for long with their official unveiling being this super late.
It is just about 3 months until Samsung announces the Galaxy S22 series, which would surely overshadow these Pixel phones behind the hype, if they somehow manage to get hyped at all. Not to mention that people are still hyped with the iPhone 13 series, so it has even less time to be recognized by the people.
For me, releasing a high-end phone this late is probably the worst idea to get it recognized by the media. In just a few months, something better will come, and Google will have to deal with their inferior product for the next 9 months or so before they release their next-generation product that will compete with the flagships from Samsung that were released a few months earlier.

So boring user interface. Skinned android is miles better and equally fast if not faster. Gone the days when stock android was faster and lightweight. Now skinned android is really fast.

Ive been waiting for these since June but it looks like the P6 like is gonna be dead on arrival since the Vivo X70 Pro+ beats it in nearly every aspect for the same price. Google really shot themselves in the foot and shat into their own cereal by pricing the Pro model that high, it wouldve been competitive at 700-800$ range but sadly no way i can justify paying 1050$ for it when theres the X70 at the same price point.
