The camera is good enough to dump my mirrorless camera.
Just point and shoot. You sound jealous as your Xperia gives terrible performance in general and can't replace a mirrorless camera (for consumer use).

Even a cam with 1/3" sensor can be DSLR.
Phones are not even close to 1" cameras quality. Let alone pro 📷.
1080p video from Panasonic GH5 (micro 4/3) is miles better than 8K from phones.
No software compasates the larger sensor and glass lenses used by 📷.
This is why the cinematic mode from iphone is so ridiculous.
Pros are laughing at it.

I can even imagine the horrible rolling shutter of the slow readout.
This is why cameras made to record 4K have no more than 12MP. Few have even 10MP.
20ms readout is already considered pretty bad for video, imagine 30.

The camera software on China ROM or China based ROM is way ahead (months) of the global ROM. Which one are you on?
The iPhone 13 series is a joke. The Ultrawide and telephoto can't be compared to Mi 11 Ultra. It's simply behind. The main sensor is behind the top 3 (p50 pro, Mi 11 Ultra & X70 pro+).
Manual controls is better on iPhone??really?? It doesn't even have manual video mode, slow motion is stuck on 240fps despite camera hardware and processor supporting it.
Instead they are focusing on unpolished gimmicks like cinemascope.

If I wasn't sick at the moment, I could laugh out loud. Apple has moved slowly to ProRes, but not at a +2-4 bits over the delivery bit depth. But Samsung often has had problems with crushed blacks, and contrasty footage in the past. No pro +2-4 bits over, log, or 2-4x the bit rate, no ProRes like intra codec, or ProRes raw like. No external (USB/bt) manual and lens control interface and recording. No, great filming interface. So, a lot of really useful simple pro things left out, you have to try hard to compensate for in filming difficult situations. The extra wide look, is like giving up. It would be better to put a detachable lens on. But, hanging a 16k Bayer 240mp chip, you can start at 8k and zoom in or zoom out, downscaling to 4k or 2k delivery, for an acceptable image. This means, ideally, starting at 16kp50/60 for action shots down scaled to 4k or 2k. Something doable (I'm not saying you need to save at higher resolution above 2k or 4k, it's just there are benefits in starting with a bigger resolution sensor to do this. A lot of real pro stuff, has more bits, more bit rate, more resolution, to deliver more pristine results). All at 4:2:2+ color or Bayer raw.
The problem with phones, is that they are Photography Orientated Systems. But the concentration on POS, compromises quality video production. A POS phone is not good necessarily for video.

Even S21 regular /+ model records video in low light better than S21U, thanks to great IMX555 sensor over the bad NB sensor HM3.. Just samsungs processing can't unveil true potential of IMX555..

If you would get deeper, you would know that Samsung does not record 4K at all, it records 2K-3K downsampled from full sensor and then upscales..
Vivo is one of the best video recording quality on android market from stock cam. Oneplus has done fine too, just without manual controls and some stupid limitations. Xiaomi has good hardware with its flagship (MI 11U), but fails on camera softaware polishing and stability. Vivo X70 Pro + is no1 device for androids, regarding camera, following MI 11 Ultra and Samsung behind.

Yes, main GN2 sensor's DOF is great and mostly better than any other smartphone (Mi 10 Pro/ Vivo X60/70 Pro + is similar DOF, because a slight smaller sensor, but bigger aperture ratio). UW camera on Mi 11U is ok. Good optics, lots of details, quite good DR, but fails with distortions. Oneplus 9 series UW is better I would say, less distortions, bigger sensor - just angle is not that wide, but sure enough.
Telephoto camera on Mi 11U performs amazing. Still I would say 119mm is too much, a 90mm would be better for stability, and having bigger aperture for light. But not with regular app. Xiaomi is still behind its camera software. Then seen what it can do with photos on good gcam build and videos using mcpro24fps - its much better. Better than S21u for sure (240mm is ridiculous on it, ok zooms a lot, but quality is subpar.
Still, if going point&shoot without any improvements over the 3rd party apps and manual control - Iphone 13 Pro series is best now. Hands down.
