If anyone has heard the news about Sony partnering with that chip company too open a billion dollar factory. Not sure that has anything to do with it but they also collaborated with Qualcomm before so maybe a new chip Sony gets first for a pro mark 2. Or a tablet? Either would be awesome

I like the fact that Sony's things don't get leaked as much as every other phone company. It makes it interesting to guess how it looks or what is being launched.

They cant get chips enough to make 1iii and 5iii.

Knowing Sony, they might throw a Compact phone out of nowhere for Global release.
Or perhaps it's a tablet? Either way, I hope its a good product on itself. More competition is always good

And Sony is sometimes known for surprise, so this one did surprise me considering all essential families are already announced (1,5, and 10). Could be either the Pro, the reincarnation of the Tablet series, or anything.

This is considering the last time a phone was announced or release under the radar (no leaked was ever able to predict) was 3 years ago with the Xperia XZ2 Premium.

I feel like a new Xperia Pro would be pretty likely since the first Pro released in January, and was announced... in February 2020, apparently.

If it's another phone Sony is delusional. I just bought the Xperia 1iii. By making it a surprise you take the option of buying it when you just released phones.
